A simply, but delicious homemade vanilla ice-cream is ideal for those summer BBQ's or for a quick sweet treat for your children - easy to prepare .
Ingredients
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
2 cups of double whipping cream ( heavy cream)
Method
Add the condensed milk and vanilla together and stir
In a separate bowl - whisk the double cream until peeks form - electric mixer ok for this
Gently fold the cream into the milk and vanilla mix
Pour into a container and freeze for upto 6hrs - if freezing overnight, becareful ice dosn't form
Serve with fresh fruits or as a quick cone for your children
Added extras
I have added chocolate chips and a drop of mint essence before for a different taste
For that extra special touch your can add brandy/bourbon/liqueur - 2 tablespoons ( or to your taste) - add this to the condensed milk and vanilla stage
