OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2211th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

But closer to our current reality, due to the economic crisis we experienced about 20 years ago—also related to gasoline prices—this led to a massive increase in sales of motorcycles of various engine sizes, particularly smaller ones, where both men and women, from very young to well into adulthood, could be seen on the streets riding their motorcycles.

Hive Open mic Week 313 | Cover "Por siempre"

A warm greeting to the entire Hive community, welcome to this musical space. I am happy to be back with you for another week to continue sharing my experiences and thoughts on life and music.

Today I want to share my version of this beautiful song about Christ’s resurrection. I love the way the verse recounts the crucifixion and that agonizing moment for Him. My favorite part is the pre-chorus—it’s an explosion of the profound impact and meaning of His resurrection, and it’s a cry of joy because the King is alive. Then the chorus expresses a surrender of worship to God. It’s a beautiful song that moves me to the core every time I hear it.

In short, a few months ago I decided to start playing the cuatro again and pick up where I left off more than 40 years ago – wow, that’s a long time! I attended a class at the orchestra centre and the cuatro teacher, who was also the guitar teacher, told me that I already had some knowledge of the cuatro and that, rather than being with such young children, he thought it would be better for me to start playing the guitar. I didn’t want to miss that opportunity and, after sorting out a few formalities, they provided me with the instrument.

As its name suggests, Olympic Village is a neighbourhood that was initially built to house athletes for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympics games. Afterwards, the units were repurposed for swanky living on the outskirts of downtown proper, and it has now turned into a pleasant and vibrant neighbourhood right on the shores of a narrow Pacific inlet called False Creek. I happened to be hovering around the neighbourhood the other day, when I came across The Birds sculpture.

THROWBACK THURSDAY TO MY BIRTHDAY BABY (En - Es)

Hello everyone, happy day! Every week it's fun to go through my photo archives, both digital and physical, to select some photos from years past and post them on my social media.

A couple of days ago, my oldest son celebrated his 36th birthday, and that day I spent looking through his photos for some from when he was little to share on my stories. He and his wife really enjoy it when I send them these pictures because they look so much like children when they were little, and we spend some time chatting about all the lovely memories each photo holds.

I tend to overseed the flats, and then have to carefully separate the little seedlings. At this stage, I usually put them into cell packs that I've saved over the years. These Impatiens really were overdue, so that was the morning's main objective.

Walking Old Havana, Always Different [EN/ES]

In these photos of my walk through Havana, in which I go through the usual and most recognized places, it might seem that these images are similar to many others, but for me they never are. Each time I cross the same streets and buildings, I perceive them in a different way and my gaze always stops at some new detail. Everything changes if we focus on the simplest things, the light of each hour of the day, the people who cross the path, the sounds that accompany the city and even the air that is breathed. No matter how familiar a place may be to our senses, it always holds a different nuance each time we visit it.

Hive / Open Mic - Week #313 (ACAPELLA) Cover - Corre/Jesse y joy by D-rock [Eng]-[Esp]

Hello, friends on Hive and this incredible community full of amazing talent from all over the world! I hope you’re all doing great today. This is my first video for this “Open Mic” series, and I’m really excited to participate and feel like part of the group.

Ever since I was little, I’ve really loved singing—I even thought I’d be a singer when I grew up—but I never had the practice or lessons I wanted, so I stopped practicing. When I did sing, it was just for fun. But trying again and opening up with this song, which brings back so many childhood memories, is really emotional for me, so I hope you enjoy my cover, and please don’t judge me too harshly. Honestly, I feel that through these videos I’ll be able to learn and improve little by little so I can sing better.

Sunny day

Where are you guys, we haven't hung out in a while. Even though it's only been a few days off for you, haha, it felt to me like I hadn't been online here for two or three months. That's how much I missed this place. (:

I got the idea to make this about a month ago when I saw a girl online share her art piece.

Yesterday I was going through my gallery and noticed I had taken a screenshot of her video, so I thought, why not see how mine would turn out. The day was perfect for it, so the hunt for little flowers and bits of grass in the yard started right after my morning Turkish coffee.
