Bread Pudding
INGREDIENTS
three cups milk
quarter cup peanut butter
one teaspoon vanilla extract
half cup sugar
quarter teaspoon nutmeg
quarter teaspoon cinnamon
Orange zest
four eggs
Butter, for pan
one loaf day-old brioche, cubed
half cup peanut butter chips
one cup bananas, sliced
Caramel sauce
DIRECTIONS
Heat up the oven to 375 degrees.
In a large sized blending bowl, mix the milk, peanut butter, vanilla extract, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, orange zest and eggs. Beat till well mixed.
Put a level of the bread and top with peanut butter chips, bananas and some of the custard mixture. Do it again for another layer, putting any remaining custard to the top. Allow the bread to soak up the custard for fifteen to twnety minutes.
Cook uncovered for thirty to forty five minutes or till a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the bread pudding to cool for a few minutes, then top with caramel sauce before offering.
