Hello, foodies!
Today i took mom to go out for the dinner in a legendary restaurant which was located not far from my office.

The restaurant's name was ayam berkah, ayam means chicken, while berkah means grace. It has been operated since 1963. And they only served fresh local chicken, no broiler chicken here.
In front you could see their kitchen, where they fried their chicken.
Unique thing was some local singers musicians in front of the restaurant's building, near the entry door.

Inside, they had a large dining area which was divided into 2 parts, air conditionered and no air conditionered.
We went to the air conditionered room, here how it looked like

The waiter then gave us the menu,

Like their name, the special menu here was their fried chicken.
We only waited for around 15 minutes to get all of the food ready.
Here what we ordered

Nasi uduk

I must said that it was not the best i had, it was too dry and not too soft. And also it was not too delicious for us.
Ayam Goreng (Indonesian Fried Chicken)

It was delicious, so yummy, soft, and tasty. It had savory flavour with the sweet spicy sambal (chilli paste). So authentic delicious!
Petai Goreng (Fried Petai)

It was authentic indonesian peas. Looked like green peas but it was larger. It had special taste and smell, you should try it!
Fried Tofu and Tempeh

It tasted a bit plain, but we ate all with the sweet soy sauce and also sambal. So the flavour became delicious, they also used the good quality of tempeh here. They cooked it without much oil, no wonder they were great in taste!
Sayur Asem (Sour Vegetables)

It had sour and sweet flavour and contains some vegetables and peanuts inside. You must try it too cause it was Indonesian authentic soup.
When we wanted to pay we go to no air conditionered dining area, where the cashier was located.

The Price
For all the food and a glass of sweet iced tea we paid 83,000 IDR or around 6.06 USD.
