Konichiwa, Ohayo Gozaimasu, Konbanwa everyone.
Last entry was the honeymoon ππ I took with my (now ex) wife after our wedding in 2011.
Check it out here.
MAIN BLOG & BACKGROUND
But now we are going to step back even further in time. The year was 2005. I had my first big career change after 6 years at a company. I was hired there in 2005-Sep. Within a month, they had sent me and another new hire to the headquarters in Japan π―π΅ for many weeks. I was so amped, I can't even begin to explain.
Anyway, enough about that. As Mark says, "Let's π ... Get Into It!"
This was back in the day when companies were willing to let you have some comfort on a flight. And I got to fly business class for the trans-ocean leg of the trip, from Los Angeles, California, US&A πΊπΈ to Tokyo, Japan π―π΅. This was the only time I have flown on ANA, but the experience was really unique compared to US-based airlines. One example, the bulkhead which usually blocks your view of the flight attendants in their jump seats, had a window in it. And there was a point when the flight attendants sat down and bowed to the passengers through that window. I have never seen that again, probably because I'm based in the US πΊπΈ and they don't do that. Anyway, this is the first of many trips I've made to Japan π―π΅. Those other trips will be recorded later, so hang tight.
Because this trip was abnormally long, I think it will be more telling to break it up into a telling of "things" rather than a "chronological" story. (Plus I've already done this for my last trip to Japan π―π΅, which will be put here as soon as I can get the file from my former employer.)
And each of the "things" will need to be their own blog-page because of resource credits. Give me a break, I have over 700 photos from this trip. Don't fret, I'll filter them out for the "bests".
