Chapter 1
The Shadow Whispering Trail WAX NFT
The Elite Perfechian Guard of Shearmelstrom have requested that four of their knights venture deep into the Perfectian Kingdom to search for the Blue Knight of Avaloth and the Red Knight of Orchington. Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider, currently a guest of honor at Castle Clumsalon, sent word that two knights have been searching for Clumsalon and were heading toward Perfectia.
Sir Perfechia the Impeccable called upon Sir Upingfoot, Sir Butteryslip the Interesting, and Sir Grumblethud the Grumpy. He instructed them to travel along the mysterious pathway known as the Shadow Whispering Trail, which leads to Clumsalon. There they would meet up with Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider so that all four Perfectian knights could search for the Blue and Red Knights together. While the Elite Perfechian Guard searches for these two knights, the Order of the Backwards Plume can concentrate their resources on locating the young knight of Orchington.
Several days later, the Elite Perfechian Guard finally reached the Shadow Whispering Trail. They set up camp beside the trail, hidden by the cover of night and thick trees. Sir Upingfootâtrue to his namesake and restless footâwoke from a short slumber and noticed chattering along the whispering trail. It was Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider, talking to himself about how wonderful it would be to have a nice big sandwich to curb his hunger, having already devoured all of Clumsalonâs provisions. Sir Upingfoot quietly called to Sir Thundersnack, inviting him to make his way to the camp. Moments later, Sir Butteryslip woke to growling sounds.
âWhat is going on?â he yawned. Sir Upingfoot called out, âItâs Sir Thundersnackâs stomach! Itâs so loud, heâs waking up the animals in the forest.â Sir Butteryslip handed him a snack and told him to be quiet. âWe need rest. We have a long day tomorrow searching for those knights.â The night passed. The Perfechian Guard packed up and continued down the Shadow Whispering Trail. As they advanced deeper into it, two knights suddenly stepped out of the forest. Their swords were holstered at their sidesâthey clearly meant no alarm.
It was the Knights of Avaloth and Orchington. They had heard rumors that this mysterious pathway was the key to locating the Clumsy Knightsâ home, Clumsalon. Sir Grumblethud, in his usual grumpy manner, invited the two knights back to Castle Shearmelstrom in the Kingdom of Perfectia. He made it clear they did not have permission to escort them to Clumsalon at this time. Sir Upingfoot quickly added that the two knights were to be treated as guests of honor. The King of Perfectia, he explained, wished to discuss the potential rebuilding of their kingdom and to honor their powerful alliance. The Blue and Red Knights were not yet aware of a possible heir to the Throne of Orchingtonâthe kingâs son. The Perfechian Guard were careful to keep silent about this until they reached Castle Shearmelstrom.
Traveling along the mysterious Shadow Whispering Trail, all six knights made their way toward the Kingdom of Perfectia with their honored guests.

The Mysterious Black Forest of Clumsalon WAX NFT
Sir Toppleberry, the founder and head of the Order of the Backwards Plume, called for Clumsy Knights volunteers to aid in the search for the mysterious young Red Knight of Orchington. These volunteers would have to travel along the Shadow Whispering Trail in order to reach the Kingdom of Perfectia. Sir Thundersnack had sent an urgent message to Clumsalon, advising them that the trail kept whispering hints about the young Red Knight's whereabouts. He was last seen a few days north of the Kingdom of Perfectia's border, and the fastest path was through the Shadow Whispering Trail. This placed the young knight squarely in Gloomfen territory, where rumors had surfaced that the Black Knights of Gloomfen were also searching for this young future king.
While the Clumsy Knights raced to find this young heir to the fallen Kingdom of Orchington (and its ancient alliance with Avaloth, the Knights of the Elite Perfechian Guard of Shearmelstrom had safely escorted the Blue Knight of Avaloth and the Red Knight of Orchington to their Kingdom of Perfectia as honored guests. Not to mention that Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider was going completely nuts all the way back to his kingdom, driven wild by his insatiable hunger.
Sir Toppleberry happily announced that Lady Banglethud and Sir Yokel the Younger would venture out to find the young knight. Sir Toppleberry himself and Dame Clattercrash along with Sir Pubbleglum chose to sit this one out, staying close to the castle in case of a surprise attackâdespite the castle being protected by ancient magic that made it invisible to the naked eye.
The Order of the Backwards Plume instructed the volunteers to meet up with Sir Ouchington and Sir Flailwild, who had completed their training mission and would be heading back to Clumsalon along the Shadow Whispering Trail.
As Lady Banglethud and Sir Yokel the Younger prepared for their journey, word arrived from a scout the king had sent days earlier. The scout reported that the evil Lord Dragonis had placed a massive bounty on the young king's head for capture. He also warned that Lord Malice of the Valley of Gloomfen and Lord CatsScull of the Frozen Valley of IcingSnow had dispatched their knights to locate the young king. The last sighting of the young knight had been a couple of days north into the Valley of Gloomfen. Rumor had it that the bounty sealed an alliance between Lord Dragonis, the Kingdom of DragonSwolf, and unspecified rare riches.
"Such an alliance," muttered Sir Toppleberry. He slammed his fist on the table (missing, then hitting his own knee), declaring, "We must find the young Red Knight before these bounty hunters do! This alliance must never take place!"
As Sir Toppleberry vented his frustration in his usual clumsy way, Sir Yokel the Younger was just about to speak whenâsuddenlyâhe sneezed mid-sentence. The mighty sneeze sent maps flying everywhere and accidentally revealed a hidden compartment containing an old map of a mysterious area within the Clumsalon Kingdom: the Black Forest. It showed a shortcut leading from Clumsalon, straight through the Black Forest, and directly onto the Shadow Whispering Trail. According to both Sir Toppleberry and Sir Pubbleglum, neither of them had ever seen this map before, nor had they ever heard of this Black Forest shortcut.
Map in hand and supplies strapped to their backs, Lady Banglethud and the still-sneezing Sir Yokel set off along this mysterious shortcut.

On their journey, Lady Banglethud reiterated the importance of finding the young knight and bringing him to Clumsalon for safety as soon as possible. Sir Yokel thought out loud, muttering to himself that this would surely be a test of courage and clumsiness combined.
The Clumsy Knights followed the newly found map, which led them straight to the Black Forest. They admitted to themselves that they had never seen this mysterious, dark forest before. A chill ran down Lady Banglethug's spine the moment they ventured deeper into this shadowy corner of the Clumsalon Kingdom. Before they knew it, a journey that should have taken many days was completed in just one, thanks to the shortcut. They reached the Shadow Whispering Trail in lightning speedâhopefully giving them a head start in finding the young knight. Hours after entering the Shadow Whispering Trail, Sir Ouchington and Sir Flailwild joined the search. Their arrival brought a sigh of relief to Lady Banglethud. Having two extra knights from the Orderâwho wielded serpentine fire swords in times of dangerâwas a huge bonus. All four knights made it to the end of the Shadow Whispering Trail, which opened into the Valley of Gloomfen. Sir Yokel thought out loud: the scout had mentioned sightings of the young knight farther north into the valley. Sir Ouchington chuckled with cautious optimism, "Oh great, here we goâinto the valley of terror!"
As the four knights ventured deeper into the Valley of Gloomfen, careful not to step into any small lava pits, a muffled sound came from Sir Yokel's direction. He was trying to speak, but no words came outâso he used hand gestures, pointing ahead frantically. Sir Flailwild looked where he pointed and spotted a Knight of Gloomfen and a Knight of IcingSnow working closely together, most likely searching for the young Red Knight of Orchington. Lady Banglethud gently nudged Sir Ouchington and Sir Flailwild to move closer while staying in the shadows.
Lady Banglethud, looking confused, glanced around. "Where on earth...?" she mumbled, unable to find Sir Yokel. Sir Flailwild tapped her shoulder and pointedâhe had crept ahead for a closer look, now just a few meters from the enemy knights.
As Sir Yokel moved softly through the bushes, an enormous sneeze erupted from him, sending an avalanche of mixed-colored berries and mushrooms cascading over the two knights he was watching. Startled, the Gloomfen and IcingSnow knights spotted Sir Yokel and drew their swordsâbut the Black Knight of Gloomfen slipped on the berry-sludge avalanche and took the IcingSnow knight down with him. The two tripped over each other in a tangle on the ground. The IcingSnow knight, Sir Vaidorious the Unyielding, was mortified that this had happened to him at the hands of some pesky knightsâit was his first-ever encounter with them. Quickly, the remaining Clumsy Knights rushed in with swords drawn. Sir Yokel shouted excitedly, "We got them! We finally got them!" As he yelled, Sir Flailwild and Sir Ouchington's legendary serpentine fire swords suddenly activated. Sir Flailwild thought it strange, since the immediate danger seemed subdued. Then, several meters to their right, another Gloomfen knight appearedâthis time the dreaded Black Knight of Terror. That explained the swords' activation.
Lady Banglethud muttered to herself, "This one is mine." She pulled out her shield and charged the Black Knight of Terror. As she closed in, her left leg snagged on a vine. She tumbled forward, crashing into a treeâher shield ricocheted off the trunk, knocked the Black Knight's helmet clean off, and sent him staggering off-balance straight into a nearby mud pit.
Another unintended clumsiness victory for the Clumsy Knights!
They tied up the two Black Knights of Gloomfen and the Snow Knight of IcingSnow, then questioned them about the child knight in red armor. The captives refused to speak of his whereabouts.
As the Clumsy Knights interrogated their prisoners, they heard rumblings approximately 200 meters to the north. The Clumsy Knights quickly left the scene.
Back under the cover of the Shadow Whispering Trailâwhich did an excellent job shielding them from prying enemy eyesâthey watched from a distance. They saw Sir Ascenation of the Kingdom of IcingSnow, calmly walking toward the tied-up knights. As he began untying them, Sir Flailwild remembered facing him before. "I threw snowballs at him once," he told the others. "If it weren't for my serpentine fire sword, I probably wouldn't have made it." He explained that Sir Ascenation had a mystique about himâhe could capture your mind and soul. They called him a cold demon, because even the mere thought of him will send chills down your spine.
"Let's get going," Sir Flailwild urged. "We'll use the cover of night and search deeper into the Valley of Gloomfen. We must find this child knightâthe young knight who wears red armor, the young heir to Orchington."

The Phantom Trail of Skulls WAX NFT
The deeper the Clumsy Knights ventured into the Kingdom of Gloomfen, the more tensions rose among them as they debated their next move. Sir Yokel, ever cautious, whispered, âThis place must be haunted,â urging them to retreat. He knew full well that this skull-lined path led straight to the front door of Castle Snootwhistle.
Before Lady Banglethud could respond, Sir Ouchington pointed out that they had the cover of night on their sideâas long as they stayed stealthy and quiet. Sir Flailwild muttered aloud, âThis is scarier than the Clumsalon Black Forest.â Lady Banglethud glanced to her right and spotted an old wooden sign that read:
âThe Phantom Trail of Skulls â Follow Skulls to Castle Snootwhistle â Northâ
Sir Ouchington cracked a smile and joked, âIâm sure Lord Malice will be pleased to have us over for dinner.â His only intention was to ease the nerves of his fellow knights.
As they pressed deeper along the haunted trail, Sir Flailwild suggested they step off the path and travel beside it through the thick, dense forest insteadâjust in case another Black Knight popped out.
Then, all of a sudden, Lady Banglethud swore she heard a yelp for help. Sir Ouchington heard the vague cry too. Sir Yokel noticed the sounds were moving toward them. Moments later, torchlights flickered along the dreadful skull pathway. Two shadowy figuresâdifficult to make out in the deep nightâwere struggling with a smaller knight who was clearly trying to break free.
Sir Flailwild quickly hushed the group. âCould this be the young Red Knight weâve been searching for?â
Lady Banglethud nodded firmly. âI believe I speak for us allâyes, thatâs him. The one weâve been tracking for weeks.â
Sir Yokel gathered everyoneâs attention. âWe must make a plan of attack and save the young lad from these Black Knights.â
Sir Flailwild suggested moving farther down the path to set up an ambush. Sir Ouchington declared it brilliant. They all turned to Lady Banglethud for approval.
She grinned back. âWhat are we waiting for? Letâs go save the Red Knight!â
Farther down the eerie, skull-infested trail, the Clumsy Knights set up their ambush. Sir Flailwild and Sir Ouchington hid on the right side, concealed by thick trees and shadows. Sir Yokel and Lady Banglethud took the left, ready to spring.
âTheyâre right beside us,â Sir Yokel whispered. Sir Ouchington waved his hands in a silent countdown from ten. Lady Banglethud murmured to Sir Yokel, âOn zero, we rush in from both endsâcatch them off guard.â
As the Black Knights drew closer and Sir Ouchingtonâs hand hit zero, he and Sir Flailwild leaped out with serpentine swords (still unlit). Sir Yokel burst from the forest onto the trail beside the enemies. Lady Banglethud lunged forward nextâbut something went terribly wrong. She twisted like a pretzel with surprising force, smashing into Sir Yokel, who in turn crashed into Sir Ouchington. All three knights lay flat on the ground in a heap.
Sir Yokel stuttered, âSomething must have snagged you, Lady Banglethud!â
She looked downâher boot was wedged firmly in a broken skull. The Black Knights stared, startled by the clown show. The Black Knight of Terror even cracked a giggle. âYep, you must be the Clumsy Knights. And this time, your accidental heroism has failed you. Hahaha!â They drew their swords and demanded surrender.
While still sprawled, Sir Ouchington pointed upward. âWhat theâ? Who is that?â
Sir Yokel and Lady Banglethud looked up. âWell, that looks like⊠oh, itâs Sir Flailwild. Heâs stuck in the tree branches! How on earthâŠ?â
Sir Ouchington whispered, âHe was right behind me.â He pulled a clumsy face that said it all.
Just as the Black Knights moved to capture the three fallen knights, Sir Flailwild swung his sword in a swift arc, slashing the branches that held him. He plummeted downâlanding squarely on top of the Black Knight of Terror! The other Black Knight (of Gloomfen), whose back was turned while trying to subdue the wriggling young Red Knight, never saw it coming. Sir Flailwild quickly helped the others up. Lady Banglethud grabbed her shield, rammed the second Black Knight from behind, and sent him slipping flat on his back amid a bed of skulls.
The Clumsy Knights grabbed the young knight and rushed back into the thick forest, escaping any pursuit.
Several hours later, they emerged at the end of the Phantom Trailâwhere the Molten Trail of Gloomfen began. Sir Yokel said calmly, âThis dreadful pathway will take us to the Shadow Whispering Trail within the Kingdom of Clumsalon.â
Lady Banglethud cheered, âWeâre almost home!â
The young Red Knight wasnât entirely sure if he was in good company yet, but he had far more trust for these knights and their bizarre fighting style. Winning against terrifying Black Knights without ever drawing a sword? That was either something special⊠or extraordinarily clumsy.
Sir Yokel glanced around. âThis is a good time to introduce ourselves to the young knight of the destroyed Castle of Orchington.â
Sir Flailwild spoke calmly: âThe Order of the Backwards Plume sent us to find you, to rescue you, and to bring you back to our homeâthe Kingdom of Clumsalonâwhere our King and the Order await your arrival.â
The young Red Knightâs eyes widened. Heâd heard of the Clumsy Knights before but never met them. He jerked upright and shouted, âWaitâyouâre the Clumsy Knights? So the legends are true?â
Sir Yokel and Lady Banglethud exchanged confused looks. âWhat legends?â Sir Yokel muttered.
Sir Ouchington and Sir Flailwild quickly interrupted. âWe must press onâget to Clumsalon territory fast.â
Sir Yokel, still puzzled by the legends the boy had mentioned, nodded. âLetâs move out of this dreadful Valley of Gloomfen.â
And so, the five knights pressed forward, making their way back to Clumsalon.

The Elite Perfechian Guard of Shearmelstrom - Elite Guard Knights' Hall WAX NFT
As the Clumsy Knights and their young Red Knight companion make their way safely into the Kingdom of Clumsalon, the Perfectia Knights prepare for a meeting at the Elite Guard Knights' Hall, located deep within the castle grounds. What is unique about this sacred hall is its nearby kitchenâsure to interest Sir Thundersnack, the Kitchen Raider.
Under normal circumstances, no one is allowed to enter this sacred meeting room of the Elite Guard. However, due to these unforeseen circumstances, the Red and Blue Knights of Orchington and Avaloth are not only permitted but welcomed to join and discuss the kingdomsâ alliances and the potential for rebuilding one of their realms.
All attend the meeting except Sir Upingfoot, whose restless foot continues to wave back and forth, and Sir Grumblethud the Grumpy, who are both tasked with guarding the castle grounds.
Sir Bearingsmere the Gentleâtrue to his name, unable to harm even a flyâopens the meeting by welcoming the Blue and Red Knights of honor. Sir Thundersnack, of course, remains in the kitchen; his chewing echoes through the hallway and into the meeting room. Sir Perfechia, founder of the Elite Guard, keeps staring at Sir Butteryslip the Interesting.
âSorry, Sir Butteryslip,â he says. âI was just thinkingâand daydreaming at the same time.â
The King begins:
âWelcome, Blue and Red Knights. We have good news to share. The Clumsy Knights have retrieved a survivor who was held captive by the Black Knights of Gloomfen under their lord, Malice of Castle Snootwhistle. He is a young boy in red armor from Orchington. According to the Clumsy Knights, he was on a training mission for his knighthood when Lord Dragonis attacked your kingdom.â
The Red Knight of Orchington stands in reverence. âWhere is he? What is his name?â âThe young knight is under the protection of the Clumsy Knights of Clumsalon.â
The Blue Knight rises beside his comrade. âWe must hasten to the Kingdom of Clumsalon so we may reunite with one of our ownâthe child knight.â
The King gently asks both knights to sit.
âWe have more to share. I need you both to listen carefully. The Kingdoms of Gloomfen, DragonSwolf, and IcingSnow are aggressively searching for this boy.â
âBut why?â says the Red Knight. âWhat is so special about this childâunlessâŠ?â He pauses, stands, and begins pacing. âUnless⊠of course⊠could the child beâŠ? No, no, it canât be him.â
âWho are you referring to?â the King asks. âThe King of Orchingtonâs son and heir to the throne,â the Red Knight replies. Upon hearing this, the Blue Knight falls backward off his seat, pulling Sir Butteryslip down with him and barely missing Sir Bearingsmere the Gentle.
The King looks on in amazement.
âAre you sure youâre not part of the Order of the Backwards Plumeâthe group responsible for aesthetic crimes against chivalry?â
The Blue Knight, untangling himself, replies, âNo, I am not one of the Clumsy Knights.â
âWell, sir, you may very well have the unique ability to enter their realmâtheir kingdom, their castleâguarded by ancient rune magic. You have the heart, and some of the clumsiness, needed to unlock its defenses and enter. Nevertheless, the Red Knight is correct: the child knight is the kingâs son, and every realm and kingdom is after him for reasons unknownâat present.â
The King turns to Sir Perfechia. âFind two brave Elite Guards to escort the Blue and Red Knights to the lopsided castle in the Kingdom of Clumsalon. I will send word ahead so they prepare for your arrival. By the time you reach Clumsalon, the Clumsy Knights and the young Red child knight should be waitingâfor unless they run into trouble.â
Sir Perfechia quickly had two knights in mind: Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raiderâthinking he could raid Clumsalonâs food stores instead of oursâand Sir Bearingsmere the Gentle. He couldnât hurt a fly, but he could definitely wield a sword and shield with ease.
As Sir Bearingsmere packed his backpack with food provisions and camping supplies, the Red and Blue Knights watched Sir Thundersnack stuff his own pack with enough food to feed all the knights in the castle for a whole day. Both stared in amazement at Sir Thundersnackâs appetite.
âThe Blue Knight,â muttered the Red Knight with a grin, âwell, now it makes total sense why they call him the Kitchen Raider.â He giggled and elbowed his companion to join in the fun.
Fully stocked with camping gear and provisions, all four knights left Castle Shearmelstrom and set off along the Shadow Whispering Trail of Mysteries, which led directly to the Kingdom of Clumsalon.

The Lopsided Courtyard Welcome WAX NFT
The four knightsâSir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider, Sir Bearingsmere the Gentle, the Red Knight of Orchington, and the Blue Knight of Avalothâfinally stumbled onto the crooked cobblestones of Clumsalon. The lopsided castle loomed ahead, looking like it had once been damaged but had been cheerfully rebuilt, its towers leaning at impossible angles and its banners fluttering backward.
The Clumsy Knights of the Order of the Backwards Plume waited in the courtyard, led by the legendary Sir Toppleberry the Unsteady himself. Sir Yokel the Younger waved enthusiasticallyâaccidentally knocking over a stack of shields and swordsâwhile Lady Banglethud offered a traditional (if slightly wobbly) gesture of respect. The young Red child knight, still in his dented armor, peeked out from behind Sir Toppleberry, eyes wide with wonder at the sight of his fellow knights from Orchington and Avaloth.
âWelcome to Clumsalon,â said Sir Toppleberry with enthusiasm, only to trip over his own feet as he tried to bowâlanding face-first in a nearby pile of hay, conveniently placed there for such occasions. âWeâve been expecting you! And weâve got the little heir safe and sound.â
The Red Knight knelt in reverence. âMy prince⊠thank the moon and the stars youâre unharmed.â
The child knight gleamed with joy. âI was rescued by the best knights ever! They saved me by⊠well, mostly by falling on the bad guys.â
Sir Thundersnack, meanwhile, had already zeroed in on the castleâs legendary kitchen and was rummaging through the pantryâsomehow having bypassed the castle guards entirely.
But unknown to all, two shadowy figures had trailed them the entire way along the Shadow Whispering Trail. Sorcerer Knight Redsfear of the Kingdom of DragonSwolf, cloaked in swirling stealth magic that muffled his footsteps and dimmed his robes, crept alongside Sir Ascenationâone of the strongest knights in all seven kingdoms, known as the Cold Demon for good reason. His massive sword hummed with restrained power. Both had mastered ancient shadow magic, distinct from the rune magic long known by the Dark-Robed Wizard, now called Bumblethorp the Wizard.
Redsfear smirked beneath his hood. âAt last. The fools have led us straight to the heart of their ridiculous realm. Once we seize the boy and reveal this place to our allies, no rune magic will save them.â
Sir Ascenation nodded grimly. âOne swift strike. The child comes with us. The kingdom falls.â
They stepped from the mist into the open courtyard, shedding their stealth magic in a dramatic swirl of dark energy. The air crackled faintly. The Clumsy Knights frozeâexcept for Sir Thundersnack, who was too busy licking leftovers off his fingers to notice anything.
âKnights of Clumsalon!â Redsfear declared, his voice echoing like distant thunder. âSurrender the heir of Orchington and your pathetic kingdom, or face annihilation!â
Sir Ascenation drew both of his blades, gleaming with dark magic as if they were growing in size and strength. âResistance is futile. You are surrounded.â
For a second or two, silence crept across the courtyard.
Then Sir Toppleberry blinked. âWait⊠you followed us? All the way here? Without getting lost?â
Lady Banglethud tilted her head. âThatâs⊠actually kind of impressive.â
Sir Yokel scratched his helmet. âBut⊠chivalry is forbidden in Clumsalon. You canât just march in here like that.â
The intruders frowned in confusion. âWhat are you all mumbling about? Surrender or else.â
And that was when the surprise began.
Sir Toppleberry âaccidentallyâ knocked over a bucket of oil, precariously balanced on a leaning beam for the castle staff to refill the courtyard oil lamps. The oil splashed across the stones in an almost perfect arc. Sir Yokel, trying to help, slipped on it immediately and slid forwardâright into Sir Ascenationâs legs. The mighty knight teetered, arms flapping like a duck preparing to fly.
Lady Banglethud sneezed violently (normally Sir Yokelâs domain, but sheâd been dusting her bedroom earlier), sending a cloud of courtyard debris straight into Redsfearâs face. The sorcerer coughed, eyes watering, and accidentally swung his sword in a wild arc, knocking Sir Ascenationâs helmet clean off. Sir Ascenation quickly recovered and jammed it back on.
Sir Thundersnack, startled mid-bite, dropped an entire tray of custard pies. They rolled across the oily ground like greased cannonballs, tripping Redsfear and sending him sprawling into a haystack.
Sir Bearingsmere the Gentle, horrified at the thought of violence, rushed forward to helpâonly to trip over Sir Thundersnackâs discarded backpack. He tumbled gently into the two invaders, knocking them both flat in the softest, most apologetic pile-up imaginable.
The young Red child knight giggled and clapped. âSee? Thatâs how we do it here!â
In moments, the courtyard was a glorious mess: tangled limbs, spilled pastries, scattered shields, and two very bewildered would-be conquerors buried under hay, custard pie, and clumsy knights.
Sir Toppleberry stood up (after three tries), dusted himself off, and yelled, âWell, that was fun! But seriously, ladsâif youâre here to conquer, youâll need to work on your clumsiness first. We donât do âswift strikesâ around here. We do⊠enthusiastic accidents.â
Redsfear, pinned under Sir Thundersnackâwho had also slipped on his own custard pieâmuttered, âThis⊠this is impossible.â
Sir Ascenation, face-down in pie, groaned, âI think Iâve lost my dignity.â
The Blue Knight shook his head in amazement. âYou two really should have known better. Chivalry has no place in Clumsalon.â
And with that, the Clumsy Knights helped their uninvited guests to their feet (after retrieving various pieces of armor from across the courtyard, still dripping in oil), dusted them off, and politely suggested they leaveâpreferably via the scenic route that involved a lot of tripping. âWe could keep you as prisoners, but that would only draw more of you to come looking for our kingdom. So leave, and never return.â
As the defeated pair slunk away in confusion, tails between their legs, the young heir looked up at Sir Toppleberry. âWill they come back?â
Sir Toppleberry winked. âIf they do, weâll just have to welcome them again. Clumsalon style.â
And so, with laughter echoing off the lopsided towers, alliances strengthened, the heir safe, and the kingdom once more protected by the power of pure, unadulterated clumsiness, the saga of the Clumsy Knights drew to its delightfully chaotic closeâfor now.
