I have been avoiding a lot of DHF talks lately. I told some of my friends that I just voted on the return proposal, and the rest I let be. New projects appear in the DHF despite our high debt. We are right now around 24%. No one receives HBD as rewards anymore. The debt is mostly like that because of the price? Perhaps, and I agree that it is mostly because Hive follows the market trend, as I mentioned in another post, saying that Hive and most altcoins are like plankton, carried entirely by the current of the broader market. But that doesn't mean we can't shift our culture to actively protect Hive's financial health

The DHF is an interesting source of funds for those seeking financial support for their projects. We believe that it should be related to Hive. Projects that will receive money in exchange will bring an upgrade to Hive. Where did we fail a lot? Using our HP as a charity! At least the proposals asking for help to improve their lives, which sometimes pass through different moments, are stopped. It has been a while since I've seen proposals like that. But once in a while, I see people "helping" others with votes. One thing that always bothered me is that Hive is the only place where we do charity without essentially using our own resources.

But come on, my vote is mine, so I do what I want. Correct. But, as an investor who adds Hive to your HP, you don't want to see Hive die. Imagine if I become a whale with millions of HP and start doing 100% of the votes from a few people. That creates an imbalance in rewards. I will be responsible for probably distributing more than half of the reward pool for a few. Anyways, my criticism is the lack of real charity projects on Hive where people use their own money. They aren't doing the good; they are giving their power over the reward pool to give to others in need. So basically, imagine you are a stakeholder of a company with 1000 stocks. Your charity is using your weight vote power to reallocate money from the company to charity. Does the company have extra money to do that?

Mostly, the only way of doing charity on Hive , real charity is either sending direct Hive /HBD transfers to someone or adding people/communities as beneficiaries. Right now, charity is only off the blockchain. People want to donate, or they go to a local place in their community and bring clothes, money, or use NGO's, sometimes online. Why not have this type of connection here on Hive? Maybe a connection so you can donate 1$ to a child organization, but using Hive?

Charity is a cool action, but we shouldn't use our stake power to use it. The debt is high. How should we help to cut that? We should think about that. Let's say that Hive becomes a tiny dust of value that will make most people stop posting in here. Isn't it better to think that at least we tried our best to keep it alive?

Tenho evitado falar muito sobre o DHF ultimamente. Comentei com alguns amigos que votei na proposta de retorno e deixei o resto para lá. Novos projetos aparecem no DHF apesar da nossa alta dívida. Atualmente, estamos em torno de 24%. Ninguém mais recebe HBD como recompensa. A dívida está assim principalmente por causa do preço? Talvez, e concordo que seja principalmente porque o Hive segue a tendência do mercado, como mencionei em outra publicação, dizendo que o Hive e a maioria das altcoins são como plâncton, levadas inteiramente pela corrente do mercado em geral. Mas isso não significa que não possamos mudar nossa cultura para proteger ativamente a saúde financeira da Hive.

O DHF é uma fonte interessante de financiamento para quem busca apoio financeiro para seus projetos. Acreditamos que ele deva estar relacionado ao Hive. Projetos que receberem dinheiro em troca trarão melhorias para o Hive. Onde falhamos muito? Em usar nosso HP como caridade! Pelo menos as propostas que pedem ajuda para melhorar suas vidas, que às vezes passam por diferentes momentos, são interrompidas. Já faz um tempo que não vejo propostas assim. Mas de vez em quando, vejo pessoas "ajudando" outras com votos. Uma coisa que sempre me incomodou é que o Hive é o único lugar onde fazemos caridade sem usar nossos próprios recursos.

Mas vamos lá, meu voto é meu, então eu faço o que eu quiser. Correto. Mas, como investidor que adiciona o Hive ao seu portfólio, você não quer ver o Hive morrer. Imagine se eu me tornasse uma baleia com milhões de HP e começasse a distribuir 100% dos votos de algumas pessoas. Isso cria um desequilíbrio nas recompensas. Eu seria responsável por provavelmente distribuir mais da metade do fundo de recompensas para alguns. Enfim, minha crítica é a falta de projetos de caridade reais no Hive onde as pessoas usam seu próprio dinheiro. Elas não estão fazendo o bem; estão abrindo mão do seu poder sobre o fundo de recompensas para dar a outros necessitados. Então, basicamente, imagine que você é um acionista de uma empresa com 1000 ações. Sua organização beneficente está usando seu poder de voto para realocar dinheiro da empresa para a caridade. A empresa tem dinheiro extra para fazer isso?

Na maioria das vezes, a única maneira de fazer caridade de verdade no Hive é enviando transferências diretas de Hive/HBD para alguém ou adicionando pessoas/comunidades como beneficiárias. Atualmente, a caridade só existe fora do blockchain. As pessoas querem doar, ou vão a um local em sua comunidade e levam roupas, dinheiro ou utilizam ONGs, às vezes online. Por que não ter esse tipo de conexão aqui no Hive? Talvez uma conexão que permita doar US$ 1 para uma organização infantil, mas usando o Hive?

Fazer caridade é uma boa ação, mas não devemos usar nosso poder de participação para isso. A dívida é alta. Como podemos ajudá-la a reduzi-la? Devemos pensar nisso. Digamos que o Hive se torne um mero resíduo de valor que fará com que a maioria das pessoas pare de postar aqui. Não é melhor pensar que pelo menos fizemos o nosso melhor para mantê-lo vivo?
