I am really thankful to for the constant support of this contest. I am happy that there are people who understand and value what artists do.
Frankly speaking, it is very painful when I see amazing art works with just few upvotes and undervalued (not only my particiapnts). Painting process is a big pleasure but it is extremely difficult and it requires much work and emotions. After I started to paint (it is just my hobby and I need to learn much much much), of course, I visited museums and exhibitions. And you know what, I don't understand how artists made that. It is just beyond my understanding.))) I look at the painting and don't stop to be impressed with skills, talent, fantasy etc. I can spend an hour in front of a painting and will be amazed more and more. The minus of it that I understand that I will never paint like that but the plus is that it makes me to try and develop.
AND...Here at Steemit we have such artists!!!!!!!!!!! I can also look at their paintings for ages to "taste" each brush stroke)).
So, dear Steemers. I kindly ask you to check tag and #artstyleart6 posts, the posts with the paintings for the contest I resteemed and to support the artists with your upvotes. It would be fantastic if you find time to check their blogs. TALENTED PEOPLE! TALENTED WORKS! They deserved it)). Thank you and sorry for the long speech))).
This week we have CUBISM + ARCHITECTURE.
The initial post is here 6th ARTstyleART Theme Announcement. CUBISM + ARCHITECTURE. where you can read about cubism and see examples plus photos made by me for inspiration.
I have also got the interesting comment from who recommended to get acquainted readers not only with very famous artists but also we the artists we might not know such as Gleizes and Gris, Leger, de La Fresnaye, Metzinger and Lipchitz. And he expressed his wish to see his favorite Picasso painting - Guernica. I completely agree that along with famous artists we need to open artists new for us too. I am learning with you. There are a lot of amazing works of theses artists but I tried to pick up ones with architecture.
Landscape at Beaulieu, Juan Gris
Village Landscape, Roger de la Fresnaye
And finally the favourite painting of by Pablo Picasso Guernica
And I have found the interpretation for this painting:
I am mentioning just a little extract from the article but you can read more here
Guernica (1937) by artist Pablo Picasso is one of the most famous
paintings of all time. Picasso's homeland of Spain is central to the
meaning of Guernica, a mural the artist was commissioned to paint for
the 1937 World Fair in Paris. Although Picasso expatriated to Paris
and never did return to Spain during his life, the artist's connection
to his homeland of Spain is evident in Guernica, named after a small
country town in north Spain that was the target of a terror bombing
exercise by the German Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War."My whole life as an artist has been nothing more than a continuous
struggle against reaction and the death of art. In the picture I am
painting — which I shall call Guernica — I am expressing my horror of
the military caste which is now plundering Spain into an ocean of
misery and death." PABLO PICASSO
And thank for have us developing.))
So, I invite you to take the idea of ARCHITECTURE and make it in CUBISM style.
