Of course - warm up, cool down and do repetitions and sets to match your current level of ability.
Split Routines
Sometimes I will do 4 day split using functional body weight, calisthenics, basic gymnastics or animal movements. These tend to be whole body movement that integrate core training, postural correction, spacial awareness and re-setting emotions to base-line minimal tension.
Day 1 - Train Pushing muscles - mostly Chest, Shoulders and Triceps
Day 2 - Train Pulling muscles - mostly Back and Biceps
Day 3 - Train Legs
Day 4 - Rest or Stretch only

I learned these exercises from the guys at GMB - Gold Medal Bodies. They have the best online training I have seen, you can pay for modules as you complete them. I bought their complete suite which will keep me busy for years.

Weight loss
While exercising is great for you, losing weight appears to be mostly about getting adequate protein and replacing carbohydrates with animal fats - (I know that is the opposite of what we grew up hearing, but thats just my take on it, do your own experiments). From my personal experience, plants are not necessary in the human diet, beyond entertainment or an emergency food source. Of course I could be wrong, thats just my own experience.
Most importantly though, keep moving, de-stress and hang with happy, kind, curious people.
