Hello Yum Yums!
Yesterday I really fancied some Yum Yums. They have stopped selling them in my supermarket, so the only local place I found to sell them was my local Co-op. These bad boys looked really tasty and I was eager to eat them.

Rectangular donut covered in a sweet sugar glaze.*
What I like about Yum Yums is that they are basically a large rectangular or sometimes twisted donut that are covered with a sweet glaze. Normally I like filled donuts, but from time to time I like nothing but a plain glazed one. The Yum Yums had a great colour to them and they had a good amount of glaze to them. (They look 100 times better in the flesh than in my picture) I took out my first one and sank my teeth into it. This Yum Yum tasted like a glazed donut but it had the texture of a croissant. Fabulous! The sweet syrupy glaze paired so well with the flavour of the Yum Yum. It didn't take me long to finish both, even though I was eating them slowly.
Loved these a lot. My only criticism is that sometimes I got the impression that they were oily. I don't know if that's because there was a lot of glaze and after a while it tasted oily or was it because they actually were? Either way, they tasted great and I would have no hesitation in picking them up again. Sometimes your body just craves all the naughty things.
