Everyone knows I'm a sucker for donuts. I had these donuts about a week or so ago. I really wanted yum yum, but it seems Tesco are not selling them anymore, or I seem to be unlucky and they sell out before I get to them. I thought I would try these ring donuts as I've had a lot of Krispy Kreme ones and I fancied a change.

I opened the bag and went in for my first donut. First impressions were good. They looked even in size, shape and sugar coating. I loved the colour of them too. Not too pale and not overdone. I took out the donut and bit into it. It was pretty fluffy and it had a good taste to it. The sugar was sweet and that's what the donut needed as the donut itself didn't really taste sweet at all. There is no comparison when it comes to this and Krispy Kreme's Original Glazed. I could easily polish off 6 in a row. I struggled to finish my third Tesco one.
Although these are nowhere near as good as Krispy Kreme's ring, they are very good value for money. You just can't complain on price. For a sweet treat these definite fill a gap and are easy on the pocket. They might not taste as nice as Krispy Kreme, but I would definitely have them again.
