[ESP/ENG] Reto 30 Días de Agradecimiento: #24 Un logro

Hola de nuevo! Hoy traigo otro post cumpliendo el vigésimo cuarto día de esta esta iniciativa, la cual pueden leer aquí, agradeciendo un un logro. Agradezco mucho a mis amigos Hive account@ilazramusic y Hive account@jesymarcano92, ya que me inspiraron a hacer este reto y todos losdías que hago estos posts, les doy las gracias. Y también le agradezco a Hive account@vaneaventuras por crear esta hermosa iniciativa.

Realmente creo que he logrado muchas cosas en mi vida, como quedar en una orquesta profesional, ganar mi propio dinero, graduarme del liceo, superar mis inseguridades (que es muy importante, pero me gustaría hablarlo en otro post). Quisiera hablar de algo que logré con mucho esfuerzo y que en su momento nunca creí posible, y fue entrar a la universidad.

Hello again! Today I bring you another post on the twenty-fourth day of this initiative, which you can read here, thanking you for an achievement. I am very grateful to my friends Hive account@ilazramusic and Hive account@jesymarcano92, since they inspired me to do this challenge and all the days I do these posts, I thank them. And I also thank Hive account@vaneaventuras for creating this beautiful initiative.

I really believe that I have achieved many things in my life, like staying in a professional orchestra, earning my own money, graduating from high school, overcoming my insecurities (which is very important, but I would like to talk about it in another post). I'd like to talk about something that I achieved with a lot of effort and that at the time I never thought possible, and that was getting into college.

Un logro | An achievement

Al graduarme del liceo sentí que me había quitado un enorme peso de encima. Realmente no disfruté mucho el bachillerato, solo los últimos dos años más o menos. Debo acotar que no fui buena estudiante, tuve un promedio general muy bajo y no tenia fe en quedar en alguna universidad por promedio, así que opté por una prueba interna.

Opté en varias universidades en 2014, estudié un poco y presenté, sin embargo no quedé en ninguna universidad. La verdad me desmotivé mucho, no creí que iba estudiar nada y la verdad en ese entonces no tenía nada que hacer. Luego de desahogarme, me motivé y opté por intentarlo otra vez el año siguiente.

When I graduated from high school I felt a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I didn't really enjoy high school, just the last two years or so. I must say that I was not a good student, I had a very low GPA and I had no faith in staying in any college by average, so I opted for an internal test.

I applied to several colleges in 2014, studied a little bit and applied, but I didn't get into any college. The truth was that I was very unmotivated, I didn't think I was going to study anything and the truth was that I had nothing to do at that time. After letting off some steam, I got motivated and decided to try again the following year.

Para aprovechar el año 2014, volví a ingresar a una orquesta, practicar violín más arduamente y también ver en que universidades podía optar. Tenía la opción de ir a una universidad privada si no quedaba otra vez, pero de verdad quería estudiar en una buena universidad sin necesidad de que mis padres gastaran tanto dinero. En 2015 presenté, y para mi sorpresa quedé. No en la carrera que esperaba, pero quedé en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Me puse a llorar de la felicidad porque la verdad no creí que iba a lograrlo.

Consideré que al quedar en Geografía podía cambiarme a Artes luego de un tiempo, sin embargo fui avanzando en la carrera, no me iba mal, de hecho me di cuenta que era muy buena en matemáticas, cosa que en el liceo no parecía así porque la verdad el profesor nos incitaba temor a la materia. Pasar las materias con buena nota en un lugar que me decían que era más difícil (lo es) me pareció extraño, pero me hizo dar cuenta que la Geografía era lo mío.

To make the most of 2014, I went back to join an orchestra, practice violin more hard and also see which universities I could apply to. I had the option of going to a private college if I didn't get to go again, but I really wanted to study at a good college without my parents spending so much money. In 2015 I applied, and to my surprise I was left. Not in the career that I expected, but I stayed at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. I started crying with happiness because I didn't really think I was going to make it.

I considered that by staying in Geography I could change to Arts after a while, however I was advancing in the career, I was not doing badly, in fact I realized that I was very good in mathematics, which in high school did not seem so because the truth the teacher incited us to fear the subject. Passing the subjects with good grades in a place that they told me was more difficult (it is) seemed strange to me, but it made me realize that Geography was my thing.

La carrera no era fácil para muchos y hasta abandonaban luego de un tiempo, pero de verdad se me hacía relativamente fácil (a veces), además de que estudiaba bastante, intentando ajustar mi tiempo en la música y en la universidad. Llegué a ser preparadora de la materia de Meteorología y ser parte del Centro de Estudiantes en la Secretaría en Cultura, como secretaria principal.

Hice amigos INCREÍBLES, de verdad que sí. Adoro salir de clases y encontrarlos en el pasillo para quedarme a hablar con ellos y comer en el balcón de algún salón, me han ayudado y yo los he ayudado a ellos. He pasado gran parte de los mejores momentos de mi vida en la Universidad, he asistido a fiestas, eventos chéveres, he tenido excelentes momentos con mis amigos, he logrado muchas cosas que pensé que no lograría.

Agradezco todo lo que me ha dado la universidad, aunque puede que tengas sus cosas negativas, no quita todo lo bonito que me ha dado. Me ha dado amigos maravillosos, momentos inigualables y me ha ayudado a crecer, ya que me hizo ver que puedo hacer cosas que no creía posibles para mí. Para mí entrar a la universidad fue mi mayor logro.

The career was not easy for many and they even dropped out after a while,, but it really was relatively easy for me, besides that I studied a lot, trying to adjust my time in music and in the university. I became a trainer for the subject of Meteorology and became part of the Student Center in the main Culture Department.

I made some INCREDIBLE friends, I really did. I love to go out of class and find them in the hallway to stay and talk to them and eat on the balcony of some classroom, they have helped me and I have helped them. I've had a lot of the best times in my life at the University, I've attended parties, cool events, I've had great times with my friends, I've accomplished a lot of things that I thought I wouldn't.

I am grateful for everything that college has given me, even though you may have its negatives, it doesn't take away from all the good things it has given me. It has given me wonderful friends, unparalleled moments and has helped me grow, as it made me see that I can do things that I didn't think possible for me. For me, entering college was my greatest achievement.
