Greetings!
Here's a food that is so very delicious when eaten a little bit hot. I like to eat this food not too hot because I cannot enjoy it when it is very hot, it is called "Banana Cue". This dish is very simple yet very delicious, it only needs sugar and cooking oil.
When I was young (about 6 years old) I only see my father boiling ripe bananas and I haven't seen him frying them. When I moved to another town to continue my studies (when I was 7 years old) I am surprised to see bananas being fried with sugar.
At first, I am surprised because I am not used to seeing bananas cooked with cooking oil (deep frying with sugar) while it is being stirred once in a while so that all the bananas are evenly cooked. But I admit the smell while being cooked is very savory.
I first saw banana cues being cooked right on my first day of school when I am walking home after a day of school (I was in second grade back then). I also noticed that I a lot of people if buying bananas cues.
Also, I noticed that there are lots of small stalls selling bananas cues at the time. So, I thought that banana cues must be good.
A few more days have passed, my curiosity grows bigger as to how bananas taste. And then one day, I decided not to buy snacks at school I kept my allowance so that I can buy banana cue. And boy I did the right decision because banana is very delicious.
And from then on, I am always keeping some of my allowances just to buy some banana cues. Banana cues are best eaten when they are a little bit hot. Eating them too hot is not recommended because you just going to burn your mouth and your tongue. It is best if partnered with cold drinks or water.
So, without further ado, here's how I cook this very delicious dish...

- Ripe Bananas (Saba is recommended)
- Washed Sugar or Brown Sugar
- Cooking Oil

Peel the ripe bananas (not too ripe bananas are recommentded)
Prepare the brown sugar or washed sugar

1. Heat some cooking oil enough to half-submerge the body of the banana (you can definitely add more cooking oil if you want)
2. When the cooking is now hot add the washed sugar or brown sugar (you can definitely add more or less sugar if you want)
3. Add the bananas and keep stirring until all the bananas are covered with dissolved sugar (you can cook all the bananas all at once if you want or you can cook them in batches)
4. When all the bananas are now looking like the photo below it is now done
