Greetings!
I seldom cook pancit canton (egg noodles) and when I do I make sure of it that I have all the ingredients that I wanted. If I am not mistaken this is only the second or third time that I am going to cook pancit canton because most of the time I and my wife would always buy from restaurants.
Today, the recipe that I am going to cook is consisting of only three main ingredients namely Pancit Canton (Egg Noodles), Squid Balls, and Chayote. Although you can cook this recipe without the squid balls and the chayote so it is up to you if you are going to include them. The squid balls that I used in this recipe have a strong taste so the noodles tasted more delicious
So, without further ado, here's how I cook this simple yet delicious recipe...
- Pancit Canton (Egg Noodles) - 200 grams
- Squid Balls - 250 grams
- Chayote - 200 grams
- Soy Sauce - 50 ml
- Ground Black Pepper - 10 grams
- Onions - 1 pc, small
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cooking - 1 tbsp

Peel and slice the chayote into small strips
Peel and slice the onion
Peel and slice the garlic
Prepare the egg noodles
Prepare the squid balls
Prepare the soy sauce
*Prepare the ground black pepper

1. Sautee the garlic and the onion in a cooking oil
2. Add the chayote, stir occassionaly until it starts to get transparent
3. Add the squidballs
4. Add 500 ml of water
5. Add the ground black pepper
6. Add the soy sauce then bring to boil until the squid balls and the chayote is cooked, you can adjust the saltiness using salt later on, in my case the soy sauce is enough
7. Add the egg noodles, using a ladle to can pat them down so that they will be cooked evenly
8. When it looked like this bring it to boil again until the water is reduced or almost gone
9. When you almost not seeing the water it is done

That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
