Borassus flabellifer, commonly known as palmyra palm, tala palm, toddy palm, wine palm, or ice apple is native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The yellowish viscous fluid substance is obtained from a ripe palm fruit which is the main ingredient of making "taal-er bora". Today I am going to share this recipe with all of you.

Peel the fibrous, purple-blackish outer layer

Collect the yellowish, viscous fluid substance by adding a little amount of water while collecting. Adding of water help in collecting and it reduces the thickness. Make the thick paste into batter form just like this.

Add semolina

Add coconut ; you can also use ripe bananas instead of coconut.Add flour and mix well

Now make small doughs of the batter and fry them in hot mustard oil untill golden brown.
