Chicken Tandoor or Tandoori is a delicious chicken dish that originated in India and is mostly found in middle east countries as well. If you can marinate the chicken with right proportion of spices then there is nothing more delicious than this heavenly chicken dish. The main ingredients are Kashmiri red chili powder (you can use any other chili powder but it gives authentic taste), turmeric powder, sour curd, mustard oil, black pepper and salt. Then it is placed inside tandoor, a cylindrical clay oven by piercing the chicken with sharp object. Inside tandoor is a burning charcoal that can go to a temperature of 480 degree Celsius. The marinated chicken is placed inside it and then flipped from side time to time so that all side gets crispy and the smoke of the fire taking out all the fat and marinade. You get to bite a a chicken that got a earthy taste of the clay from which tandoor is constructed. This food I ate was ordered online as you can see it wrapped in aluminium foil. The green one is pickle that is used to accompany the tandoori.
