Introduction
Hello there! @Saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
I'm here for this week's Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Unprotected. It is a ruleset were all monsters lose their armors and do not get armor from abilities and summoners.
The Battle that I will show to you this week was from my which is one of my alternate account that uses NFTY Arcade deck delegation to play manually both in Modern and Wild. Before I show you the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.
Unprotected
Unprotected | Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs. |
With Unprotected, abilities such as Protect, Piercing, Repair, Rust are technically useless but as an alternative you can have abilities that reduces the opponents damage such as Shield, Void and Forcefield or monster debuffs such as Silence, Headwinds and Demoralize.

Opponent's Line- up
My Team
For this battle, we have the featured rule set target PracticeUnprotected where all monsters have no armor along with Tis But Scratches that reduce the max health and Reverse Speed where slower monsters get to attack first. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:
Summoner: Obsidian - Gives +1 magic damage on all allied monsters and does not either increase or decrease my monsters while earth has many slow monsters to choose.
1st Position: Mycelic Infantry - has Shield which reduces damage from both melee and range damage together with Giant Killer that allows it to inflict double damage on monsters with more than 10 mana. It also has Enrage which increases its speed and damage when it was damage.
2nd Position: Runi - With Opportunity, it can attack the monster with the lowest health without ever missing because it has Aim True and it has the immunity against indirect damage with Reflection Shield together with the ability to self- resurrect with Rebirth.
3rd Position: Goblin Psychic - Heals the frontline monster with Tank Heal while preventing the opponent to heal with Affliction. It also has Silence that reduces the magic damage of all opponent monsters and Dispel that removes buffs on the target.
4th Position: Goblin Tower - Has the Blast ability which inflicts damage on adjacent monsters so with Snipe, it can deal damage on up to 5 opponents each round.
5th Position: Acid Shooter - Scattershot makes the attack of this monsters to hit random target while at the same time, it can inflict them with Poison which will deal 2 damage to the target each round.
6th Position: Venari Seesmith - Also has Poison to deal damage to the opponent for each round and can also gain health every time a monster dies with Scavenger.

With round 4, Uloth Dhampir cannot attack anymore so the combined attack of Runi and Goblin Pyschic was enough to reduce its life to 0 ending the match with my victory.
Battle Recap
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.
Did your Strategy Work?
With Unprotected Every monster is vulnerable to attack regardless of its type and one of the ways that you can save yourself from the damage is to reduce them. At the same time, I also diversify the attack type of my monsters so that even though the opponent also use find ways to reduce my damage which on this case was my magic, I was still able to deal more damage because the damage of my melee and range monsters are left untouched.
That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
