So, my Walkabout posts are still in Sturgeon Bay on the 1st of July... Too many things to get done to keep these coming more timely... anyway...
After visiting the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal, we returned to Sturgeon Bay, the goal being to see the maritime museum and maybe photograph the historic tug on the waterfront... We realized that it might be awhile before the museum opened as it was still very early.
Finding some unrestricted parking at a park, we walked along the seafront.
These craft appear to be rented out for mini guided excursions. I just thought they looked beautiful.
I am not sure whether these mini yards are owned by the homeowners across the street or by separate individuals, but they definitely seemed very posh - and very nice!
A nice informative sign/map showing where one would want to go... You can see where we were - the "you are here" red marker. We walked the path out onto the point, then all the way to the ship on the right... and back again.
Not sure about this mastodon, whether it's a pet or a protector...
