I try to workout everyday because I feel like it really sets me up for a successful day. It is also a stress reliever. The sweating feels like a natural detox of all the mental and emotional toxins.
We have been doing 20-rep back squats for the last several weeks. Usually, I build up to a heavy single for the day and then attempt 20 reps unbroken. Sometimes it is several seconds between reps, but the bar stays on my back until I finish. My first week I started off at 155# for my 20. This week I hit 185! I couldn't believe it.
This was 220#, so I had to start by putting on my weight belt.
I can see how I leaned forward on the way up. I get a little mental, the heavier it gets. I will be working on this over the next few weeks.
220#
This were my lifts for the day leading up to my 20 rep. I hit 185#x20.
Afterwards, we had some wallballs, pushups, and box jumps. My legs were tired, so I just stepped up on the box.
Day 2:
Devil's Press is basically a burpee and then bringing the dumbbells up and overhead after. I used two 35# dumbbells today. It was a little rough. I mostly did them in sets of 3 with a couple sets of 6 thrown in for good measure. The rowing and biking was just mental. I closed my eyes and just sweat it out. It was a pretty good, sweaty session.
