Mushroom Tongseng Spicy Seosening
This time, I made a recipe that I've made before from meat tongseng, which is non-vegan, but I slightly modified it into vegan ingredients, of course, while still maintaining the traditional taste. This dish is known as tongseng, usually tongseng is made from processed meat. But I was curious what if this traditional tongseng dish was processed from vegan ingredients in the form of mushrooms.
As we know mushrooms have an authentic taste and texture that makes us want to enjoy them always without getting bored. I processed this tongseng from mushrooms which were then cooked with tongseng spices as usual. But you need to know that there are many different spices from the previous recipe and of course the cooking method is much different because this is made from vegetable ingredients.
Ingredients
20 grams of cabbage
1 lemongrass stick
1 tomato
2 orange leaves
2 bay leaves
1 onion
¼ teaspoon garm
5 pieces cayenne pepper
2 cloves shallot
2 cloves of garlic
1 hazelnut
Cooking Steps
Cut the mushrooms and clean them then cut them into small size cabbage.
Blend the spices until perfectly smooth, then chop the onions, tomatoes, and other spices to prepare.
After that saute the onion, lemongrass and lime leaves, saute in 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
Then when it is wilted, add the spices and cook until it boils, then add the mushrooms that have been boiled briefly to remove the stench.
Stir everything then add the cabbage pieces and cook again until the cabbage and mushrooms are tender.
Do not forget to add tomatoes and also season with salt, cook until cooked.
Presentation Suggestion
Tongseng mushrooms are ready to be served for one recipe can be enjoyed by 1 to 3 people with the right portion and I usually enjoy it with white rice. Look at it, you will definitely like it, in addition to a beautiful finish with a color that is so charming. I love how the blend of spices makes this dish thick and most importantly brightly colored, making you feel energized and more excited to enjoy it.
The mushrooms are perfectly cooked, and the taste is very savory, and there is a slightly sweet taste of this dish maybe the mushrooms cooked with spices release natural sweet water as well as cabbage so who would have thought even without msg the savory is very fitting. Now for those of you who want more soup, you can add a little more water, and cook it properly. Good luck with the recipe!.
