Enjoying simple vegetables with a spicy sensation always brings something different to my dining table. However, preparing spicy sambal with vegetables using vegan ingredients is not difficult to serve. I will give you tips on preparing savory sweet spicy vegetables with a recipe that is very easy to make. At first glance, it may look like a salad to you, but in our region, there are various recipes for enjoying vegetables in this way.
Spicy Bean Sprout and Cucumber Sambal
This is a combination of boiled bean sprouts and raw cucumber, then drizzled with raw sambal without cooking. This sambal is made using only hot oil. The ingredients used are simple, and the preparation process is easy to do.
For this recipe, you only need the two main ingredients listed below, but you can add other vegetables according to your taste. This recipe is for one serving, but I think the portion is quite large and can be enjoyed by two people.
Ingredients Needed
20 grams of bean sprouts
1 cucumber
3 red chilies
1 lime,
5 cloves of shallots
2 cloves of garlic
¼ teaspoon of salt
Palm sugar to taste (optional)
Procedure
Prepare the red chilies and salt, then grind them manually. Add the finely chopped shallots so that they grind quickly.
Add palm sugar, then heat cooking oil and pour it over the chili sauce.
Cut the cucumber into small pieces, remembering to remove the center.
Also, boil the bean sprouts briefly until tender, then mix them with the cucumber and serve with the chili sauce.
Result
Serve it at lunchtime. Of course, in my country, it is not enjoyed on its own but with warm rice and fried tempeh at noon. Ahh, it's that delicious. Even if you're not vegan, I think you'll like it. Not only is it easy to serve, but the dish is also very tasty.
The sweet and savory taste was delicious from the first spoonful after the photo shoot. I can't lie, even without rice, it tasted amazing. The spiciness and sweet savory taste were just right, plus the texture of the vegetables was crispy, and the aroma of the cucumber was very strong. I really liked it.
