Roasted Baby Corn
Enjoying a dish grilled from baby corn is truly an extraordinary thing, isn't it? Moreover, enjoyed by barbeque with the family, it will definitely be very exciting. However, unlike me, I did it in the mess yesterday myself, so I only prepared one portion. The strong aroma of corn wafts through my kitchen when roasting this baby corn. The combination of spices seems to make this dish the most delicious grilled dish.

Ingredients
- 5 pieces of baby corn
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 cloves of red onion
- 1 candlenut
- Enough chili sauce (optional)
- Enough tomato sauce (optional)
- Butter to taste
Cooking Steps
Peel the outer skin of the corn until clean without any residue. Here I clean slowly so that the corn doesn't break.
Once the corn is ready to be cleaned from the outer shell, let the corn clean by rinsing the corn with water.
Boil the corn with 300 ml of water, boil briefly until the corn is only half cooked.
Once half cooked, immediately remove from heat and let cool.
Cut the baby corn into 2 lengthwise pieces so it's easy to grill.
Puree the garlic and shallots, then grind the candlenuts until smooth.
Once smooth, transfer the ground spices to another container, add chili sauce, tomato sauce
Add ground pepper, stir until evenly mixed Then, after the spices are finished, stir the spices with the pieces of baby corn. Stir the spices until evenly mixed and leave for a while for the spices to absorb.
Heat a frying pan then melt a teaspoon of butter, grill the seasoned baby corn.
Don't forget to turn the baby corn over, then when it's half cooked, I add the ground spices again and bake until golden brown.
Results
Roasted baby corn with my magic spices is ready to be enjoyed. A few tips for you in making grilled baby corn, make sure you use very low heat and grill it until golden brown to get the best taste. So when I made this dish I was very happy, it was as if my mood lifted when I smelled the delicious aroma of roasted baby corn. Savory, slightly spicy concentration that you can create yourself at home. Delicious and definitely worth trying at home.
So, when serving, I added a layer of chili sauce on some pieces of baby corn. I want to taste the difference between the two flavors. The taste is very delicious, one is spicy with the addition of sauce and the other is original with just the right savory taste.
