OCD's support is expanding!
Hello everyone! This is the 1800th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.
This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.
How this Works
OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.
This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.
Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Today I will not speak directly about my own experience; I want to refer instead to the silence of Cuban mothers, to the forced task of trying to answer a child’s questions when no answers remain. To the physical and spiritual pains that gradually become entrenched in daily struggle, in improvisation. But, as I said at the beginning, this is not my story, but that of Abdala?

You are clamped down. You are being bred for pain. The Devil ties my tongue. I’m speaking to you, “friend of my scribbled life.” You have been conquered by those who know how to conquer invincibly.

A close relative passed away just recently, leaving behind two young children. I can't begin to describe how heavy this is or how watching an innocent child navigate the world without a parent makes every day feel heavier. I wonder how they are doing with this experience and how it affects their day-to-day lives. Watching children mourn the death of a parent leads to many questions: How do children understand or process death? How can we support children through this process?

What can I say. This is just a single little pile I have. On my desk, I have another 3 of those piles. Higher and larger in size. Truly need to take care of this. It'll free up space on my desk, which I need by now. Recently, I moved my desk to my living room. Cleaning the notebook piles will also bring more 'rest' to this living space; Something suggested by a good friend.

At the very end of my journey through Karlovac County, I came across some beautiful horses on a farm by the roadside. I asked the owner, who was also with them, if I could take pictures of them. I got a positive answer, although he said that I wouldn't be able to for a long time, because they are quite restless and don't like strangers. So, today, just a few photos of these beautiful creatures, but first

I've come here to share some of my happiest memories with you, those from when the Christmas holidays were even more joyful because some of my relatives who are now in other countries were still here at the time. But what I find most moving is seeing in those photos those loved ones who are no longer with us, like my brother-in-law (my older sister's husband), whom we all loved like a father, and one of my sisters, who passed away from Covid in 2021. We always take a family photo on December 25th and 31st, so most of my family was there (well, although some were missing because they didn't fit in the picture), but it comforts me to see those smiling faces, my little nephews, and all that energy that only a happy family radiates in photos. And even though many things have changed today, I still feel grateful, very grateful for that beautiful family that God gave me, for the unity and also for the respect and love we have for each other.

I officially released it on January 29th as part of an EP that includes four additional songs, forming a project entirely created from my experiences and reflections.

Community: Wednesday Walk
For this new #WednesdayDay hosted by, I invite you on a walk through the alleys of the Plateau Mont-Royal, one of the neighborhoods in the heart of Montreal (Quebec). It's not the area tourists usually wander through. But I'm going to show you the importance of StreetArt in the streets, especially in winter when the sky is gray and the streets are white. The colors applied by the artists take on a whole new significance.

This singer was an icon during my adolescence and youth, especially after seeing the movie The Bodyguard, which she starred in alongside Kevin Costner. Despite having many scenes in which she sang her hits, it was not a film that could be classified as a musical.

I lived that experience in France; it's something I can recount from the feeling of helplessness and loneliness. My boots got wet, and there are places and moments where you cannot knock on anyone's door to protect yourself. I started by not feeling my feet, then I felt dizziness and discomfort throughout my body.
This concludes this batch's curation report. We would like to congratulate those who are featured and supported. Keep up the good work and continue to explore Hive Communities.
