Hey, sup gearheads?
I know that Easter is just around the corner and perhaps everyone is busy these days with lots of preparations just as I also am, but I think no matter how much work and plans you have, there is always some time left for gaming even if it means just a few minutes a day, so here we go with the brand new Live Summit released in The Crew 2 entitled Gold Seeker 2.
Honestly, thinking about how the developers of the game always made a thematic Live Summit for all the other celebrations like Christmas, New Year Eve, Valentine's Day and even the Year of the Tiger, I sort of expected to see a weekly event based on Easter with a few eggs you could notice on the streets of US while driving in the races, but it remained just a personal desire, tho.
Anyway, while it seems that we are not going to get on a race haunting Easter eggs, there are still 9 races waiting for us to be completed during the Gold Seeker 2 Live Summit that will run between 20th - 27th April:
- Slalom - where you have to make a dance with your boat between some objects floating on the water while collecting 3,760 points. [No Restriction Race]
- Slalom - similar to the previous one but this time a slalom while being on an off-road race. You also need to collect 4,650 points to qualify further. [No Restriction Race]
- Escape - where you are needed to drive at least 820 meters away from the starting point. [No Restriction Race]
- Motocross - an off-road race with lots of bikes and dust where you have to be amongst the Top 3 players when crossing the finish line. [No Restriction Race]
- Street - a first proper race on the streets of the US with a vehicle offered by the game. You need to place yourself on one of the first 3 positions. [Forced Vehicle requested]
- Rally Raid - back to the off-road trails with a race against another player and the need to beat 04:00.729 minutes to move further. [No Restriction Race]
- Street - similar to the other Street race but where you need to drive a specific vehicle which you must own or purchase in case you don't already have it. Being amongst the Top 3 players is a requirement here. [Murcielago LP640 required]
- Rally Raid - one more off-road race but with a specific car while you need again to score a better record than 05:57.000 minutes. [GTO The Judge required]
- Rally Cross - last but not least, a race held on a Motocross trail so do expect a bumpy road and another request to be on one of the first 3 positions when winning the race. [Delta S4 required]

Perhaps you have already noticed that in the screenshot attached with the whole list of races the Gold Seeker 2 Live Summit is coming with, that it involves lots of orange, and that's the main colour representing the off-road races of the game, so while in the previous week we enjoyed lots of moments being in the air and seeing everything from the top with lots of races based on piloting a plane, this week Ubisoft prepared a whole event almost entirely dominated by muddy and bumpy trails.
Owning an ATV or driving an off-road car while exploring the unknown parts of the mountains from Romania is a nice dream that I still have, however, I am not such a big fan when it comes to the off-road races from The Crew 2 just because I am not too good on avoiding all the trees and stones that are often part of the trail. And since speed is the most important thing in this game to score new records, not for a few times I fail becoming a pro while stopping in a tree, lol.
Happily, it wasn't the situation for today because I managed to get a score higher than 100,000 points on most of the off-road races with a few exceptions on the 3rd and 9th races where I already said countless times that Escape races are all about speed and how far you can drive from the starting point which was never my thing, and the last race where if it's fun jumping and doing flips with a Motocross bike on the specific trail, is definitely not that easy to do it while driving a car, lol.
Though, I'm still pretty happy with my score which is quite close to that 100,000 points goal.

When it comes to the races held on the streets, the things get a little bit different considering that we won't need to avoid trees and stones anymore, but there are still cars and curves which more or less will make you press the break pedal. Doing so is not really important for me because I have most of my vehicles upgraded to the maximum so I can easily make up the lost time but the 5th race will be a little bit more challenging than the 7th one because you will have to drive a Forced Vehicle.
Driving a Forced Vehicle means that you don't need to own or purchase the requested vehicle because the game will offer it to you while completing the race. This comes with an advantage of not having to spend a few hundreds of bucks buying it but also with a disadvantage because this will be limited on a level of parts used for the car that are usually pretty low.
If you already own the vehicle, the game will still force you to drive it being limited on the requested speed so there's not much you can do about it but just control it the best you can. However, I still think this is a very beautiful car that everyone should have in their collection.

When I first checked the event and saw no red parts on it which usually indicate that I need to purchase a vehicle, I was almost sure that all 9 races come with the No Restriction thing where you can basically drive any vehicle from that category, but no. It was actually because I already own all the vehicles requested, which makes me really happy that I can enjoy one of those weeks where I won't spend any hundreds of bucks on things requested by the game but only on those I do want to purchase, lol.
Anyway, if I have to be honest, the race I enjoyed the most this week was the one with the Forced Vehicle due to the long chilling drive on some of the most dangerous deserts of the US which, metaphorically speaking, they can be considered gold just like this week's Live Summit is entitled.

Happily, a new week means not just a brand new Live Summit added to The Crew 2 but also two more stories revealed during the American Legends season which came with another vehicle that you can earn on one of the stories.
The story that involves this reward is entitled War Hero and it comes with the next 12 steps to get through:
- House in a corn farm
- Grandpa's house
- Shopping Center in Clarksdale
- Airshow in Miami Airport
- Norfolk's Harbor
- WWII Memorial in Washington DC
- New home for grandpa
- Air show in Navajo trail
- Restaurant in Santa Fe
- Aircraft cemetery
- San Bernardino's hangar
- Airfield on the Pacific Coast
This time the story completed touched some emotional sides thinking about the war that is currently going on out there and most of the people are aware of, so having to drive on a memorial in Washington DC for the World War II was not the easiest thing to do even if it's just a game. On the same line I felt the steps of visiting grandpa's house and then going on a new house purchased for this one. Though, I'm happy that I still manage to reach new lands in this game that I didn't see so far during my 330+ hours spent in it, so I am grateful for doing that with the occasion of some stories released weekly. š
Reward: Beechcraft Model 17 Staggerwing
And just like we already got used with seeing another episode from The Lucky Guy being released weekly, here's also the 5th part of it which as usual it involves less steps to go through but also a less interesting reward at the end of the story.
The 3 steps The Lucky Guy 5 comes with are the following:
- Newport's pier
- Federal hall
- Bank in DC
This time we mainly drove in the city so no more scenic discoveries but it's still been a chilling ride with a few more places discovered and some bucks earned as a thank you for doing so.
Reward: 67,500 bucks
That's all for today, gearheads!
Thanks for taking time to read and stop by! š
