Hey, hey!
Anyone missing the squeaking of the wheels from the starting line? Wait no more! šØ
It's Wednesday which means not only the middle of the week but also a new Live Summit released in The Crew 2 as well as two more stories added to the American Legends season which will keep you busy for a while.
In plus, there is this darkness and strange theme that will make you feel like either being haunted during some of the races or like the Halloween came earlier this year, but more about that after we check out each of the rides. š
The name of this week's Live Summit is Salem's Ride and it comes with plenty of strange events and fog but also with 9 races that can be completed between 6th - 13th April:
- Escape - being required to drive at least 690 meters away from the starting point on an off-road trail. [No Restriction Race]
- Escape - similar to the previous one but this time with a boat being driven on the water for no less than 1,130 meters away from where everything starts. [No Restriction Race]
- Slalom - where you are needed to do slaloms between various objects placed on an off-road trail and collect 3,540 points to move further. [No Restriction Race]
- Alpha Grand Prix - a pretty basic race held on the streets of the US where you will drive a Formula One car with the single request of beating the 06:41.000 minutes record. [RB14 1700 required]
- Street - another race on the streets of America where you need to cross the finish line amongst the first 3 players. [VMAX 1700 required]
- Rally Raid - back to the off-road trails with a race against the time being needed to score a better record than 02:52.056 minutes. [No Restriction Race]
- Touring - a first race held on a circuit with a pretty weird car but which you can finish quickly if you don't hit the railings too often. You have to beat 05:19.000 minutes. [Escalade required]
- Street - one more street race where you can drive any vehicle you want but where you still need to be amongst the Top 3 players when crossing the finish line. [No Restriction Race]
- Monster - last but not least, a less common race but with lots of fun while driving a Monster Truck on an off-road trail where you need to complete the race faster than 05:57.000 minutes. [No Restriction Race]
I think we can all agree that this week we'll deal with a mix type of Live Summit that comes with both races against other players and time, both during the day and night time, as well as lots of rides off-road and on the streets of the US which are definitely going to keep the boredom away.
However, I think it's the first time I see two Escape races in a single event, but which was still a good excuse to exercise my speed crossing as much trail as I can to stay away from the red dot that was slowly covering the radar. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get a very good score on the first one because I was always hitting either a tree or a rock that was slowing me quite a lot, but I'm happy I took my revenge while driving the boat.
Anyway, as there are very few events where you don't end up with a lot less money in your wallet due to the cars you often need to purchase, this time I had to get two more vehicles to my collection, the first one being the motorbike from the picture above requested on the 5th race but which only cost around 515,000 bucks.
After having nearly 200 vehicles in my collection I can say that it's hard to get amazed by those which I purchase for the events because I already got used driving a specific vehicle on each discipline but this motorbike was a nice surprise because it's very easy to handle when taking a curve and it's pretty fast too.
The 2nd vehicle required was for the 7th race which even though it looks very expensive, it only cost me around 300,000 bucks. However, while I was saying lots of good things of the motorbike, those are not applied in this case because being a pretty heavy car, it was always running on sides while taking a curve so I'm happy I managed to complete the race with a score bigger than 100,000 points but I don't think I'm ever going to use it again. At least not soon.
Some of you might also need to purchase the RB14 formula one car from the 4th race which is going to cost around 1,000,000 bucks if you don't already own it because that's the main attraction of the event. Happily, i was already owning this one and it saved me from such a big payment, but it was still nice to drive it again as this kind of races are not so often met during the Live Summits.
There's not too much to be said about the slalom and other off-road and street races as they didn't come with any specific request like using a certain vehicle, so all you can do is pay attention to the trail and pick whatever you control better between a car and a motorbike.
The Rally Raid was a little bit challenging due to the place where the race is held coming with lots of stones and trees that you won't be able to avoid forever and that's why I couldn't reach the 100,000 points goal I always set to myself even though I was so close to it. š

Anyway, time to move further with my journey playing The Crew 2 because two new stories have just been added to the game which I honestly can't wait to complete these days. However, since these are going to take a while and I didn't have time to take care of the current ones, here are the two released in the previous week which took me to lots of cool places that I've never met before in this game, proving that I should explore more those lands.
So the first story completed is called Chicago Heist and it comes with the following 12 steps:
- Old Building in Saint Luis
- The Reactor
- Isolated Caravan
- Ice Track
- Dinner in Barron
- Chicago Millenium
- Meeting in Sant Louis
- The House in Sant Fe
- Motel in Las Vegas
- Building in Mojave
- Los Angeles Court House
- House on The Beach
I absolutely had a blast from the very first step which got me in the middle of Los Angeles, until the last one that was placed on the beach and made me finish this story with a relaxing vibe and a beautiful sunset in front of me. It's incredible how easy some games can play with your mood and emotions. š
Reward: Jaguar E-type Series 1 Coupe The Champion Edition
The other story is part of The Lucky Guy series that is released weekly with a new episode and which is the easy part of those stories because they usually have around 3 steps to be completed only. This not only that it comes with a faster way of being completed but also with a less 'expensive' reward by the end of the journey but which is still well-spent time in my opinion. š
Anyway, here's the list of 3 steps The Lucky Guy 3 is coming with:
- Condo in Daytona
- Miami Arena
- Hotel in Nort Beach
The reward was the same as this I received in the previous episodes of The Lucky Guy series, but I absolutely enjoy how this story it's being divided into more episodes even if they are short ones.
Reward: 67,500 bucks
In-game picture with the reward earned on the completion of the Chicago Heist story
And last but not least, I can proudly say that after 3 weeks only since the American Legends season was released, I finally hit that maximum level which even though it didn't come with lots of prizes because I still haven't managed to put my hands on the premium version of the Motorpass to have access on all the rewards every level came with, I did enjoy these received by now.
So right now I'm thinking about just storing what I have earned so far until a new episode will be released and will afford to purchase the premium version of the Motorpass for that one which I know it won't be less interesting than the current one which again, it was a great surprise for me and perhaps for many The Crew 2 fans. š
That's all for today, guys! Thanks for taking time to read and stop by!
