The Homunculus of Boredom
She noticed how the creature she had created no longer showed up. Her mind no longer felt like it was dying. On the contrary, she felt that her life now had a purpose: to live it.
The homunculus never came back.
At work, the change was clear. She kept performing even better than before. She arrived sun-kissed, with a sparkle in her eyes that others didn’t have, and every Monday she brought a new story to tell.

The competition
Meanwhile, the saga continued in the shadows, playing on the player's ignorance, who had to be attentive to every move without the right to make amends or be intimidated by the opponent's attitude:
"This is what I get for being late!" thought the bewildered player. "Now, I don't know the rules!" "Nor the guidelines of this disadvantageous game!" In the dark, it bears no resemblance to a real competition.

Against All Odds
Ethan was quick to call the paramedics to see her. But it seemed Sakura wasn't too bad as within minutes she regained her senses.
“Guys, I'm not dizzy anymore, but I don't want to play now,” Sakura commented glaring hatefully at the other team members.
“I'll do it for you,” said frowning Daku after kissing his wife's forehead.
“But Daku..” she worried.

Late to the Game!
"If you don't score a goal, just don't bother going back to training—In fact, don't come back to earth," Coach Musa whispered to Olamide.
"Okay." Olamide said simply, quickly bent over to put on his boots—and realized he'd worn mismatched ones.
"No time," he said to himself as he ran to join the rest of his team.
The second half had already started.

Lekan's Cooking
Lekan paid me no heed and continued sleeping. I was left in the kitchen, staring at the empty match box. The match box that my mom gave him money to buy just a few days ago. *"Mtchewww, this guy doesn't understand the rule of waste not want not right? No problem, he will get what's coming for him soon.
That morning, I had to trouble our next door neighbour for some match sticks. My neighbour, Mummy Kareem was kind enough to give me some amount of match sticks which I put inside the empty matchbox I was holding.

THE PURSUIT FOR LUXURY
Dad, they've extended our exams by a month, and after that we have just a one-week holiday, so I don't think I will be coming back this semester. I’ll just manage here to save transport.”
“Just send me some money for food and upkeep please” I asked, pretending to be a good girl.
“ Are you sure, because your neighbor Daniella is already back home? "You guys got admission at the same time, and it is the same school you're both going to, so why are you lying to me?” My father answered calmly, although I could sense the storm behind the calm.

Mama's Secret Ingredient
"Can I have a taste of it?" I asked, stretching my hands as she handed me the jar, opening it up, I picked one of the locally made cubes and cut a piece of it into my mouth which sent my taste buds into overdrive. It was indeed the local taste I had fallen in love with every food I had tasted since my arrival, rich and intense, nothing like the normal seasoning cubes we used. It was like the combination of different flavours coming together in perfect harmony to form the sweetness of the fish and the savory taste of all the spices.
