Sup gearheads?
Any Mitsubishi fans on Hive? Then this post is definitely for you! š
Honestly, I've never been a fan of this brand of cars but I definitely have a weakness when it comes for the cars they created for both rally raids and drift races. They do have something different than most of the other cars that are currently on the market and perhaps that's what it makes me like them so much because I always preferred cars that make a step away from the usual vehicles we see on the streets.
Anyway, this week seems like being dedicated to the Japanese gems on four wheels which will come with 9 challenges where you can score new records in front of other players from The Crew 2 while you'll get to drive only some of the best cars they released so far.
If this stir your interest even for just a little, I'd suggest to take a look on the races you can complete in the Live Summit called pretty suggestive Mitsubishi Motors Addict which can be played between 9-16th March :
- Speedtrap - being required to cross a specific area on the map with a speed faster than 180 km/h. [No Restriction Race]
- Escape - where you are needed to drive 970 meters away from a marked area on the map on an off-road trail. [No Restriction Race]
- Slalom - where you have to make a dance between different objects placed on the ground while collecting no less than 3,540 points. [No Restriction Race]
- Rally Cross - a first race with an off-road vehicle where you have to place yourself amongst the Top 3 positions. [Lancer WRC05 required]
- Rally Cross - similar to the previous one but on a different trail where you have to cross the finish line in the Top 3 players again. [No Restriction Race]
- Street - a less muddy race which is held on the streets of US where you also should make your way amongst the Top 3 players when finishing the race. [Eclipse GSX required]
- Drift - not one of the most common races you see in this type of weekly events but where you have to make drifts with a specific car and collect at least 35,000 points to qualify further. [Lancer Evolution X required]
- Street - another race on the street where you need to place yourself on one of the Top 3 positions as well. [No Restriction Race]
- Street - similar to the previous one but held on a different trail. You need to be amongst the Top 3 players when crossing the finish line in this case as well. [No Restriction Race]
On a quick look you will notice that most of the event is based on Street races and some Off-road ones, which doesn't come as a surprise thinking on the vehicles the Mitsubishi brand is producing, but I do appreciate the way the developers of The Crew 2 thought about putting this brand of cars in the spotlight dedicating one of their events to Mitsubishi.
Anyway, as you perhaps noticed if you are looking at my score, this is by far not one of my best weeks while playing The Crew 2 due to completing the Live Summit quite in a rush being busy with a lot of other things. On Monday I had a photoshoot for a clothing brand and today I also had to be a model for my sister who needed someone to wear some earrings for another brand. So much things to do! š
I do hate finding reasons for my lack of success when trying to get new records on a game, therefore I won't let the scores as they are right now and actually replay all of the races again tomorrow or in the following days to reach that magic number of 100,000 points on each race, where in some cases is really close and not an impossible mission, so wish me luck! š
While I enjoyed the last 1-2 weeks without being needed to purchase any vehicles for the weekly events, this time I couldn't say the same thing because there were two cars needed for the races which I wasn't already owning.
The first one is a pretty old car but which is going to be used on the 6th race that is held on the streets and which proved me one more time that you don't need a new car to get a nice score because its handling is a lot better than many of the new models. At least in the game, lol. š
Along with this one, there were two more Street races I had to complete where there were no restrictions regarding on what vehicle I should drive, so I decided to drive my Bentley Escalar which is both fast and easy to control when taking a curve. I even managed to score 100,000 points on one of the races without being needed to restart the race. Yay! š
The 2nd car I had to purchase is also a Mitsubishi one but this time a more modern vehicle that I needed for the Drift race. Anyway, just as I mentioned, this is a rather strange race than a common one for the Live Summits so I didn't exercise too much this type of races.
It's also pretty hard to get a bunch of points here because everything is based on how experienced you are making drifts in a game which is definitely not my talent as you can see. š¤£
There was one more race on the streets called Speedtrap which, just as I said, you are required to cross a specific place on the radar with a speed faster than 180 km/h but because it's being held on the highway, do expect to get a little bit annoyed while trying to avoid all the cars you'll meet on the way to that spot.
And last but not least, there are 4 off-road races where you have to drive a Mitsubishi vehicle on one of these while the rest give you free hand on picking what car you want to drive. They all are amazing if you enjoy getting some mud on the tires and respecting no borders as you usually have to while you are on the street.
Anyway, before writing down the question for this article, I want to remember you that 16th March is also the last day when you can complete Episode 2 of The Contractor Season so if you didn't reach the maximum level on the current Motorflix you still have time to do so.
Honestly, I can't wait for this episode to be over and see what Ubisoft will come with in the next Episode or the brand new Season they should release later this month of in April. Aren't you too? šŖš»
š While I know that perhaps there are not too many The Crew 2 players on the gaming community of Hive, I was going to ask you what racing game are you usually playing? And what's your favourite discipline between drift, street, off-road races, etc?
Can't wait to hear from you and maybe discover a few more games to try out in the near future! š
