Welcome to this week’s BTC guessing game! The latest Bitcoin chart shows a significant downward trend, reflecting the considerable losses BTC has experienced over the past seven days. Starting at around $65K on July 31st, Bitcoin has seen a steady decline, touching lows close to $50K before a slight recovery to $55K by August 6th.

This recent downturn can be attributed to a few key factors. First, there is a notable uncertainty in the broader financial markets, which has inevitably spilled over into the cryptocurrency sector. Investors are cautious, leading to reduced buying pressure and increased volatility.

Moreover, the anticipated selling pressure from MtGox refunds has also played a crucial role. As former MtGox users receive their long-awaited refunds, many have chosen to liquidate their holdings, adding to the overall selling pressure. This influx of BTC into the market has contributed to the downward trend we are witnessing.

Despite the recent losses, the chart shows a slight recovery towards the end of the week. The big question remains: will Bitcoin manage to stabilize and regain its upward momentum, or will the bearish trend continue?

provide your tip of the Bitcoin Price in US$ as a comment until Thursday 0:00 CET
only one tip per account allowed per individual user; multi-account-users shall only comment with one account, multiple comments lead to disqualification
the tip that is closest to the reference price will win the weekly price
if there are two tips equally near to the winning value, the one that is given earlier is the winning one
a tip that is exactly on spot with the full dollar rounded reference price will win the Jackpot
the reference price will be taken from Coingeko; (see the following reference) and rounded to a full dollar number
