In Spot #88 we feature an artist who has already made the Top 100 Albums in position #90 …. Lionel Richie with his album Dancing on the Ceiling. This his 3rd album as a solo artist was released in August 1985 and sold in excess of 4.6m copies.
Surprisingly this the title track was NOT a number one hit single peaking at #2. The biggest hit was definitely the song recorded for the White Nights movie ….
As we go down
Life's lonesome highway,
Seems the hardest thing to do
Is to find a friend or two.
That helping hand,
Someone who understands
That when you feel you lost your way
You've got someone there to say.
I'll show you.
Lyrics
There were a couple of other hits from the album and some funky dance tunes (the hits Ballerina Girl and Love Will Conquer All) which I am not going to include here, but rather the funky Night Train …. Get those feet tapping and the head bobbing ….. play it loud !!!
Night Train …. I love the start and then the track seems to go nowhere {smile}…oooops, pun NOT intended !!
As always, thanks for stopping by and your support is fully appreciated
