Enero, febrero y marzo han sido tiempo de desafíos muy fuertes para nuestro país Venezuela, trimestre en el que todos de alguna manera hemos hecho uso de nuestros recursos personales para salir adelante. En mi caso el enfoque principalmente ha sido alejarme de ambientes, personas y situaciones que restan salud mental incluyendo familiares, por tanto he venido pensando en lo que deseo para mis años venideros mientras Dios me de el discernimiento para que todas mi decisiones y relaciones este guiada bajo su luz.

January, February, and March have been a time of immense challenges for our country, Venezuela—a quarter during which we have all, in one way or another, drawn on our personal resources to get by. In my case, my main focus has been to distance myself from environments, people, and situations that are detrimental to my mental health, including family members. Therefore, I have been thinking about what I want for the years ahead, while asking God to give me the discernment so that all my decisions and relationships may be guided by His light.

Fue así como recibí el 16 de marzo el amor que he cosechado, este día de mi cumpleaños me sentí querida, animada y recordada. Haciendo memoria creo que nunca he celebrado mi cumpleaños con pomposidades, tampoco es mi esencia, sin embargo he sido honrada por gente que suma, otorgándome a partir de ese día especiales reconocimientos de amor entre mensajes y agasajos que me indican que he hecho bien el trabajo de convivencia y creo esto es uno de las leyes para estar satisfechos en este mundo.

That’s how, on March 16, I received the love I’ve cultivated; on my birthday, I felt loved, encouraged, and remembered. Looking back, I don’t think I’ve ever celebrated my birthday with fanfare—it’s not really my style. However, I’ve been honored by people who matter, who, starting that day, have showered me with special expressions of love through messages and gestures that tell me I’ve done a good job of living in harmony with others. I believe this is one of the keys to finding satisfaction in this world.

El día de mi vuelta al sol # 50, los reconocimientos y felicitaciones fueron como un baño de miel con canela, donde valoré en primer orden las palabras de personas que por circunstancias de la vida dejamos de vernos, pero con las que siento un hilo invisible que me indica que de nuestros encuentros ha quedo una significativa unión entre nuestros corazones que laten cada día en gratitud indicándonos que estamos vivas, como este maravilloso tema que me obsequia mi querida amiga YC DANZADA desde Argentina.

On the day of my 50th birthday, the acknowledgments and congratulations were like a bath of honey and cinnamon, and I especially cherished the words of people whom, due to life’s circumstances, I no longer see, but with whom I feel an invisible thread that tells me that our encounters have left a meaningful bond between our hearts, which beat every day in gratitude, reminding us that we are alive—just like this wonderful song that my dear friend YC DANZADA has gifted me from Argentina.

Así como estos mensajes escritos otro por audio recordándome lo importante de mi transito en la vida de estas personas, para todos ellos mi gratitud y afecto sincero. Ese mismo día de mi cumpleaños cumplí con mi labora visitando dos instituciones educativas, y ya cayendo la tarde con mi querido hermanito nos fuimos a cenar. Por ser día de semana y por el tiempo que apremia gracia a nuestras rutinas, fuimos por comida rápida llena de proteína 😁

On my birthday, I fulfilled my duties by visiting two educational institutions, and as evening fell, my dear little brother and I went out for dinner. Fue un instante de diversión entre nuestras conversaciones ocurrentes y risas de hermana mayor a hermano menor. Luego nos fuimos a buscar el postre a una suculenta y magnifica heladería, recordando a mi querida sobrina su hijita que actualmente está en Madrid – España con su mamita, ambas en espera de su papito que pronto estará con ellas. Cuando estuvo conmigo en alguna oportunidad la lleve a comer estos deliciosos helados de Yogurt, convirtiéndose en uno de nuestros favoritos.

It was a fun moment amid our witty banter and the laughter between an older sister and her younger brother. Then we went to get dessert at a delicious and magnificent ice cream shop, reminding my dear niece of her little girl who is currently in Madrid, Spain, with her mom, both waiting for her dad who will soon be with them. When she was with me on one occasion, I took her to eat these delicious yogurt ice creams, which became one of our favorites.

El día martes 17/03 después de la jornada laboral me dirigí a mi habitual ensayo de percusión, espacio sagrado para la @mujertambor donde el cumulo de experiencias personales se manifiestan, siendo el tambor nuestro recurso catártico con el que ha sido posible expresar mucho más de lo que hemos podido pensar.

On Tuesday, March 17, after work, I headed to my usual percussion rehearsal—a sacred space for @mujertambor where our collective personal experiences come to life, with the drum serving as our cathartic outlet, allowing us to express far more than we ever thought possible.

Al llegar recibí abrazos, regalos y palabras de aliento que reconfortan, al final de la jornada cantamos cumpleaños con uno de los ritmos de tambor de la guaira que más me gusta oriundo de Carayaca del pueblo de Tarmas, acompañada de una sencilla y deliciosa torta casera con el encendido de una velita aromática que mi maestro de percusión me hizo el honor de encender.

When I arrived, I was greeted with hugs, gifts, and comforting words of encouragement. At the end of the day, we sang “Happy Birthday” to the beat of one of my favorite guaira drum rhythms—originally from Carayaca, in the town of Tarmas—accompanied by a simple, delicious homemade cake and the lighting of a scented candle, which my percussion teacher did me the honor of lighting.

A propósito celebramos con el tambor el día en que nuestro país Venezuela se coronó campeón del clásico mundial de Béisbol, justo en este trimestre 2026 tiempos de desafíos y conmoción social, proceso del que creo recibimos un respiro, un bálsamo reconfortante ante tantas adversidades.

Incidentally, we celebrated with drumming the day our country, Venezuela, was crowned champion of the World Baseball Classic—right in the middle of this quarter of 2026, a time of challenges and social upheaval, a period from which I believe we received a respite, a comforting balm amid so much adversity.

El miércoles 18/03 recibí otros amorosos reconocimientos de partes de las consecuentes participantes de mi grupo de Biodanza, vale destacar que llevamos un año y 8 meses en un espacio confortable al este de la ciudad de Caracas - Los dos caminos, en el que pasamos a formar parte de su grilla cultura, en dónde damos la bienvenida a toda persona que desee conocer y vivir los beneficios de la Biodanza así como nosotras nos nutrimos cada miércoles de 4:30pm a 6:30pm.

On Wednesday, March 18, I received more heartfelt expressions of appreciation from the dedicated participants in my Biodanza group. It’s worth noting that we’ve been meeting for a year and eight months now in a comfortable space in eastern Caracas — Los dos caminos, where we’ve become part of their cultural program. There, we welcome anyone who wants to learn about and experience the benefits of Biodanza, just as we do every Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

En marzo la @mujertambor hemos tenido varias invitaciones las cuales han sido fructíferas y valoradas, fue así como para cerrar la semana de mi cumpleaños tuvimos una linda presentación llena de fuerza y afectividad plena, justamente en el mes que nos abraza y conmemora a todas las féminas.

Al salir del evento fui a visitar a mi chef panadero favorito" hermanito" quien me recibió con un pancito de guayaba recién horneado y mi respectiva taza de café. Realmente fue un cierre de semana productivo y armonioso que me permitió repotenciarme después de arduos días de trabajo, ensayos y presentaciones.

After the event, I went to visit my favorite baker, “little brother,” who welcomed me with a freshly baked guava roll and a cup of coffee. It was truly a productive and harmonious way to end the week, allowing me to recharge after some grueling days of work, rehearsals, and performances.

El jueves 26/03 participamos en otra muestra cultural para nosotras donde aparte de tocar tambor me correspondió animar con danza a las mujeres presentes en una actividad especial ofrecida en un reconocido periódico digital de Caracas, donde la inocencia no dejo de manifestarse acompañada de unos tiernos niños que para mí fueron el equilibrio perfecto mostrándome la vida su grandeza y polaridades de la energía existencial femenina y masculina que nos habita y potencia.

On Thursday, March 26, we took part in another cultural event for women, where, in addition to playing the drum, I had the opportunity to lead a dance for the women in attendance during a special activity hosted by a well-known digital newspaper in Caracas, where innocence never ceased to shine through, accompanied by some sweet children who, for me, were the perfect balance, showing me life’s grandeur and the polarities of the feminine and masculine existential energy that dwells within us and empowers us.

Hasta ahora en lo que va de año a pesar de las circunstancias, he logrado estar en armonía con visión de proyectos que me motivan a seguir en pie, más con este nuevo año de vida ante el que propongo ocuparme más de mi salud psicofísica empezando montada en dos ruedas.

So far this year, despite the circumstances, I’ve managed to stay in tune with projects that motivate me to keep going, and now that I’m entering this new chapter of my life, I plan to focus more on my mental and physical health, starting with getting back on a bike.

Con el tema de la edad la experiencia y mis propias creencias en algún momento de mi vida llegué a pensar que tener 50 años era sinónimo de vejez, tiempo en el que se hace la retirada en muchos aspectos de nuestras vidas. Pero ahora que los cumplí, y lo he sentido venir desde hace un rato, siento y pienso que es un año más para reflexionar y darnos el permiso de cumplir con aquello que nos motiva a vivir y asegurar un futuro con bases más sólidas para dar continuidad a nuestro destino desarrollando una nueva etapa de vida.

Given my age, experience, and personal beliefs, there was a time in my life when I came to think that turning 50 was synonymous with old age—a time when we begin to step back from many aspects of our lives. But now that I’ve turned 50—and I’ve felt it coming for a while—I feel and believe that it’s another year to reflect and give ourselves permission to pursue what motivates us to live, and to secure a future with a more solid foundation so we can continue on our path by embarking on a new stage of life.

Este trimestre de año marca para mi el inicio de una etapa de renovación y autogestión que describo como una "segunda primavera", que trata de cambios biológicos importantes, que me llevan a establecer prioridades donde mi visión se enfoca en discernir y quedarme exclusivamente con todo lo que me armonice y ofrezca seguridad y bienestar.

This quarter marks the beginning of a new phase of renewal and self-management for me, which I describe as a “second spring.” It involves significant biological changes that are leading me to set priorities where my focus is on discerning and holding on exclusively to everything that brings me harmony and offers me security and well-being.
