The Silent Sha-Vi is a Melee Sneak Monster, member of the Death Splinter, of common quality. Its moderate mana cost (5) makes it a great choice for most battles with a mana constraint of 15 or higher. Of course you can try it in a bit lower mana battles if you are feeling adventurous and have a budget Summoner.

Now before getting into the stats discussion of the Monster, let's have a sneak peek into its LORE

So, the moral of the story is... kids don't be like Tommy, always thoroughly check the area under your bed before going to sleep in the presence of at least one of your parents. If there's an actual Silent Sha-Vi under it, you might need your parents, grandparents and at least 3 of your cousins to handle it. 😁

Okay, now that we have a vague idea of what the Silent Sha-Vi is, let us have a look at its stats and abilities at different key levels.

It starts off with its signature ability - Sneak - straight off the bat at level 1.
At level 3 it gains an additional Melee Attack point for a total of 3.
At level 6 which is the entry level for Gold, it gains an additional ability - Cripple (its target loses 1 max health point every time Silent Sha-Vi hits it).
Finally maxxed out at level 10 the Monster has 4 Attack, 6 Speed, 0 Armor and 7 Health, and also gains a third ability, which is almost unheard of for a Common Monster - Piercing. The Silent Sha-Vi is actually a powerhouse of a Sneak Monster for its mana cost and general availability.

Now that we know what the card does (or doesn't do) at the different levels of play, let us have a look at the two battles (because they are pretty quick) I have chosen to showcase.

The line-up of the Battle and the Ruleset:

The ruleset for this battle is Odd Ones Out (only Monsters with odd mana cost may be used in the battle) and it is restricted to 18 mana. This means that the number of Monsters which can be used is rather limited. I have decided to go with the Crypt Beetle in the first spot as it is a pretty decent budget tank if it does not face a Magic line-up. So I am betting on that.

The 2nd place in the line-up goes to the star of this week's Share Your Battle Challenge - namely the Silent Sha-Vi. I have it in the 2nd spot to serve as an off-tank should the situation call for that. With its 6 health it can still take a few hits before going down in such low-mana battles. I am hoping it will do its work before having to resort to that.

The 3rd place in the line-up goes to the Death Elemental. It is a budget Snipe Monster which is used quite often in any level of play. If you have 3 mana and a spot remaining it is always worth it to throw it into the mix.

The 4th spot goes to Uraeus. I'm running Uraeus paired with the Silent Sha-Vi to make sure my Sneak team is putting decent pressure on the back-line of the enemy. It is always advisable to keep your damage focused and not have it all over the place so you take down the enemy's Monsters faster and more efficiently. That's often the key to victory.

It is time for a quick round by round analysis:

I want to preface this by saying that the battles I have chosen to showcase are from today, while I was climbing the ladder after the reset. That is why this battle is at Bronze level with Bronze level Summoners and Minions and the 2nd one is from Silver, with the respective levels for Silver. I am running a level 2 Thaddius, and my opponent has chosen to go with the Life Splinter and a level 2 Mother Khala.

After 1 round, I have lost my Death Elemental to a direct hit by the enemy's level 3 Cave Slug, which was not the best of a beginning but on the other hand the enemy's Lone Boatman is also about to die.

At the start of Round 3 I have managed to take down their Lone Boatman and the Cave Slug is 1 hit away (by the Silent Shai-Vi) from dying.

Round 4 is here and my Sneak Duo have devastated the backline of the enemy. Only their tank is still standing but unfortunately for it, it will not live to tell the tale.

Let us begin with the line-up and the Ruleset:

The mana budget this time around is more than enough to accommodate most Death setups so it is not a constraint at all. Holy Protection benefits both teams so it is not really something to consider other than the fact that low-health Monsters will survive at least the first hit they take from an enemy Monster (unless the shield was already removed by splash damage). As for the first spot in this line-up, I am opting for a standard approach with the Cursed Windeku. One of my favorite Death Splinter tanks for sure.

The second spot is reserved for the Djinn Muirat because I suspect the enemy might go with a Magic-heavy line-up and Djinn Muirat can take a few additional magic hits with its Void Armor ability. Especially since the Magic attackers are nerfed by Thaddius.

The 3rd spot goes to our main character - the Silent Sha-Vi. I've got it here since it is more likely for the enemy to break through the front line than "Sneak" its way through the back.

In the 4th spot I have the Dhampir Stalker. It is actually a pretty good ranged attack Monster with the 4 damage it inflicts and not being able to miss due to True Strike is also a nice addition.

The 5th spot is occupied by another Sneak friend of the Silent Sha-Vi - the Sand Worm. Everyone who has watched (or read (or played)) Dune knows how good the Sand Worms are coming from behind and very often from below, so the Splinterlands Sand Worm does not disappoint either. It is probably one of the most powerful Sneak attack Monsters in the game with its 5 attack (at level 3), its only drawback is its low speed but that's how balance works. 😁 Anyhow I expect it to be a worthy partner in crime of the Silent Sha-Vi.

Last but definitely not least is Doctor Blight. Don't worry I don't possess any copy of Doctor Blight, so this GF one is definitely a rental.😁 Doctor Blight is another of those cards which can be used in any situation (at level 2+) and it will not be a mistake.😝

It is time for a quick round by round analysis:

As we can see I have again chosen Thaddius, this time at level 4. My enemy is using a level 2 Kelya. They have 2 pretty strong Magic Attackers (despite the fact that I have also debuffed them) in their line-up so Djinn Muirat was not a waste.

After 1 round mostly the two main tanks have taken a beating but are still standing.

At the start of Round 3 both main tanks are down so now the two Djinns are in the middle of the dancefloor. I have also managed to take down the enemy's Sniping Narwhal thanks to my dynamic Sneak duo.

Round 4 - The enemy has lost its Deeplurker while all my remaining Monsters from a round ago are still accounted for. One of the enemy's Djinn has also been poisoned courtesy of Doctor Blight.

At the beginning of Round 5 all that is left is for my Monsters to finish off the enemy's Nerissa Tridawn.

The Silent Sha-Vi is hands down my favorite Sneak Monster as far as the Death Splinter goes (and probably as a whole) since its cost of 5 mana paired with its good amount of attack, speed and health make it a truly powerful Common Monster. The fact that it also gains 2 additional abilities along the way to max level is also of great importance.
