Hey, hey! Sup everyone? Are you ready for some new renovations and cleanings in a brand new job taken in House Flipper? š
I sure am! Especially after the post, I shared yesterday which was a personal review to a game called TREE that I really recommend playing if you haven't already because it only takes 15 minutes to be completed and it will surely give you a different perspective over everything and appreciate more every second from your life.
But if you are curious to find out more, I strongly encourage you to click here to read my entire review and also see some in-game screenshots for a closer experience of what's everything about. I'd also like to meet you in the comments and see what you think about everything shared both in this and that article. š
Anyway, today's gaming experience is a lot different and far from being that emotional because we are going to take care of a job that came from Mr Tony who is a man that together with his wife they moved into the house of Tony's grandmother who left it as an inheritance.
As we all probably expect, it's a pretty old school place with no traces of minimalism or modernism in any of the rooms, and while the wife of Mr Tony does enjoy this kind of furniture and houses, he's on the opposite pole always dreaming on a man cave with gaming setup and such things. So I sort of have to take care of both desires. š¤
First impression
I won't lie - as soon as I entered the house I got that kind of feeling like I went on a visit to my grandparents' house which is not a bad thing at all. Because I also find this kind of old-looking rooms interesting with some limits even in 2022.
But as much as I loved to see that there is no trash or empty boxes on the ground, as soon as I watched the map from the top right corner I figured out there is also going to be needed some cleaning. But hey! At least I can see the ground and map and it's not everything covered in black as it was in some previous jobs! š¤£
BEFORE renovation
The first thing I had to take care of, was the kitchen which was supposed to be turned into an open space chamber with the living room located behind that wall. So as soon as I cleaned all the mold stains from the corners, I broke 5 columns of the wall just as it was indicated in the request panel from the right. This gave me access to the other side of the future room where we could find the living.
DURING renovation
Over here, the things got a little bit more serious with the requirements list being longer now, having to both sell things from the room but also buy some new ones, such as a TV and corner sofa.
AFTER renovation
Honestly, I couldn't see the sofa working better in any other position than the one where I placed it, so I tried to make the best of that part of the room and buy an extra table and some lamps for a more cosy experience while watching TV.
I also rearranged the table with the chairs where the family is perhaps going to take the dinner. Due to the lack of space because of the coach which was pretty big, I had to rotate this vertically and add three chairs on a side instead of two as they originally were.
Any ideas on how the whole thing would look better in this room? š
BEFORE renovation
Moving a little bit further, I got into the next room which most likely it's going to be the place where the young couple is sleeping.
While there were no stains on the walls or on the ground that needed to be cleaned, since the opinions were split on either keeping the old-looking style of the room or not, I had to sell a few things here and buy a double bed that will reconcile both desires, yay! š
AFTER renovation
As you can see, not too much have changed in this room either because I respected the pact between Mr Tony and his wife, namely to keep the old-looking style of the house on the first floor and have the basement turned into a man cave, so we are close to the whole fun.
But until there, I moved one of the frames above the two resting chairs and added a few lamps for a more relaxing mood. Anyway, it's time to follow the way down to the basement, aren't we? š
AFTER renovation
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a "before" picture here, but imagine that everything went gray and there wasn't even light, lol. Not one of the most fun places where you could go, especially if it's night and dark outside!
I don't know how much Mr Tony and his wife are into guitars and music, but I thought that adding some posters and guitars would make this a lot more modern and welcoming because in the end music is a different love language so I'm sure everyone would be impressed to walk into a basement being surrounded by this view. ā¤ļø
BEFORE renovation
The first part of the basement wasn't too friendly, but we finally had to do some proper cleanings and renovations where I could set free my creativity, yay!
Actually, if you are looking at the list you will see that there weren't any requirements other than cleaning and removing the trash, but since I paid attention to the email received and saw that Mr Tony has a guilty pleasure for the gaming industry, I thought about doing some more efforts on this part of the house.
AFTER renovation
So... I used the garage shelf as a little exhibition where I placed a collection of headsets, some gadgets and different technology items which I surrounded with two large plants that always create a more relaxing experience! š
But as this is a man cave, the posters couldn't be missing, nor the gaming machines which every kid born before 2000 remembers about, and it's also a nice thing to play if you are having a party with some friends at home.
BEFORE renovation
Anyway, the next room, which is actually where the whole fun of the job takes part, came with also the most cleaning needed, being various empty boxes, stains and dirt, but considering that this is going to be turned into a proper man cave, every single effort is a lot more pleasant since I dream on having such a basement in the future, if I'll ever live at a house instead of an apartment, lol.
I began by getting rid of all the unnecessary things from the room as well as cleaning, and while in the previous room there was no request such as selling the garage shelves, over here everything was a lot clear that I should take them away because they were occupying a lot of space with no real purpose.
AFTER renovation
Since this was supposed to be a man cave, I decided to split the room in two and have half of it dedicated to the gaming sessions with a complete rig and setup, as well as the little fridge with juices and energy drinks that it's the perfect bundle for any gamer's experience.
The other half of the room was turned into a "movie night" thing such as the right place where to watch movies with your friends and have a beer, play on a console, or simply take a break from daily routines. Yet another thing I would love to have at my own homeplace too. ā¤ļø
Of course, the neon signs couldn't be missing, and I do dream to have one hanging above my bed too because they create such a relaxing and modern looking, especially if you only keep them turned on and no other light.
Job done!
Perhaps the first job in this game that is focused on the gaming area and it turns my renovation experience into a really pleasant one, but hey! In the end, this is what makes House Flipper such a different game with plenty of jobs and situations you have to take care of. And I love this! š
What about you though? Have you played House Flipper before? If so, did you complete this job?
Personally, I think it's a game that doesn't enjoy the number of players it deserves and there should be a lot more to find out about its existence! š
