I have no idea if I'm the single weirdo who's already thinking about holidays, getting ready with presents and looking forward to set up the Christmas tree and having lights in the whole house, but somehow, the next job I took in House Flipper seemed like it kind of read my mind, yay!
The email that appeared in my inbox where I'm used to seeing people complaining about their houses that need restoration, turned out to be something rather funny than boring, with Mr. Michael Brand that knew how to put in order the details about what he needs which also brought a smile to my face and finally breathe a sigh of relief as I'm not going to be necessitated to clean houses anymore, step into the dirt left on the ground by who knows who, and so on.
As I said, the email seemed quite friendly rather than formal which made me think if I completed a previous job for the same person but I couldn't really remember that, so I decided to continue the reading and see what's everything about.
Personally, I've always said that the way you express yourself when you send a message says a lot about you, and I've never been that formal type of person (only if it was really needed to) just because it makes me feel awkward while I'm a pretty amusing person in reality and I like the people I talk with to meet the real Gabriela. So the way the message was sent was a huge plus for me, looking forward to completing the job more than others.
It's funny that the man moved to his cousin's house who is an artist and that it was still needed my work on there. Though, being a person who also prefers neutral colors on the walls, I kind of shared the same feeling when I entered the house.

As much as I agreed with Mr. Michael Brand, I have to say that I personally liked more the original colour for the corridor which was going along really well with the ceiling light and the doors, but you know how they say - our client, our master!
The next-door opened led me to a quite minimalistic bedroom where the main attraction was focusing on the walls. It's true that the yellow colour has nothing to do with the furniture and everything else you could find in that room, but painting everything in the same shade of blue you could find on the bedsheets, wall picture and decorations didn't seem like the best idea to me because there is way too much blue!

If you are asking me, I'd still keep this in a shade of blue but maybe darker or just way lighter, close to bleu or turquoise.
Though, the way of having the white lines that break the fullness of having the walls covered by the same colour made me have an idea that I was going to use in my future jobs where I'm not so restricted by the painting instructions. 😃

The next room I was needed to take care of was of a child I guess, but which remembered me about one of the rooms from the Student's House that was restored in my previous post due to the furniture and colours which were quite similar in both of the cases.
Happily, on today's job I wasn't needed to clean anything or get rid of any trash found on the ground, but just to change the colour of the walls which is exactly what I was trying to explain in the other bedroom where I painted the walls with blue.
When you focus that much on having a dominant colour on the decorations you can find in a room, you shouldn't have it as well on the walls, but complete everything with neutral colours for these. So I can finally say that I am fine with one of the picks made by Mr. Michael Brand for his cousin's house, yay! 😅

The next and last room repainted was the living room because the house is pretty small but with everything you need for more than a decent and beautiful life.
I think that we encounter the same situation over here too because there is no connection between the new colour picked for the walls with anything you can find in that room, and I personally enjoyed more the first colour which was dark enough to keep everything simple and classy, as it was for the corridor too. Probably I would still remove the white strips on the walls, but to me, the dark red colour seems more appropriate than the beige one.
Job done!
A pretty quick job with easy money I would say!
Even though Mr. Michael Brand is the one who wrote me an email for this job, now I can say that I preferred more the picks in terms of wall colours made by his cousin rather than him, but hey! At least I got plenty of money that are being gathered to my savings for the best house in this game! 😁
I usually put lots of hours of work into each job I take, buying many other things for every restored room than what I'm requested to do just because I always feel like something is missing, but in this case, we can discuss about a more relaxing and easy job where nothing was needed other than the request of changing the wall colours. Lucky me!
