Hello! What's everyone up to? Are you ready to turn a Burned house into a luxury one? š
Even though my weekend was a pretty nice one, it didn't start the best, so I can only look back to the moment when I made a complete transformation to a burned house that I purchased in House Flipper making me feel like sun will rise one day on every path, no matter how stormy it is.
Honestly, I don't know the story behind the house I purchased this time but I think we can all agree that it's been through a lot only by checking the "before" pictures with this one, still being a mystery how it survived through the fire and not have everything left in ashes. But oh well, it's a game overall, right? š
The house purchased
Anyway, here's my purchase which is similar to the one from the previous post if we judge them by their characteristics, such as both houses having one floor, costing around 30,000ā¬, measuring between 30-37 squared meters and having more than 850 squared meters for the yard.
There is also a summary shared with how many rooms are in there so we can make an idea of what we should expect from this, but let's better wait no more and get to work! š·āā
First impression
As soon as I reached the destination, I managed to get a quick view from the outside which wasn't looking like a burned house but which still needed a lot of renovations due to the walls that looked pretty bad along with the garbage dunes located here and there.
DURING the cleaning
I decided to start with the beginning and clean the porch and walls of the house, being almost impossible not to look through the window and see how it looks on the inside, but I didn't have too many expectations anyway judging by how the map form the top right corner was looking like, lol.
AFTER renovation
As soon as I finished cleaning everything, the walls still looked damaged and I wasn't too happy with that so the best thing I could do is to add a completely new face to the walls of the house and the colour I picked is also one that I am going to use inside of the house a little bit later.
š But for now, what do you think about the colour picked and how the house looks on the outside? Let me know! š
The main corridor and living room BEFORE renovation
The bedroom BEFORE renovation
The kitchen BEFORE renovation
The bathroom BEFORE renovation
I will try to approach differently the way I present the project from today's post by sharing all the before pictures with the 4 rooms that need to be renovated rather than keeping them together and sharing one by one when the time of renovating that part of the house comes.
I'm doing this to avoid repeating myself on the steps I'll make because I think it's quite clear that the renovating and cleaning steps are going to be mostly the same by getting rid of the damaged objects and trash, repairing the walls and cleaning the windows.
To make a little joke here, it will always remain a mystery for me how some empty boxes made of cardboard or papers survived in front of the fire but the furniture and walls didn't, lol. š
DURING the renovation
In order to see all the stains and dust that needed to be cleaned, I decided to start with selling the damaged objects or those which I didn't see working further with what I had in my mind, but also with selling the doors which even though not all of them were damaged, they were quite old and rusty and wouldn't fit nicely with a modern house I wanted this to turn into.
The good thing in selling existing things from a house you purchase is that you are going to get a few bucks for some of them which even though it's not how much you pay for a new one, every penny it's important.
Of course, the rule won't apply on burned or destroyed items which even though you should use the hand as the tool you use for getting rid of the trash from a place, the game makes it available only by using the selling tool but with the mention that it will show "0" on the little screen with the amount you receive. Pretty fair to be honest. š
It's funny that even on the cleaning part there will be buyers looking surprised how there is not expensive furniture or cool things in the house even though you didn't even started to furnish the house, lol.

Cleaning the house
As soon as I finished with the selling part of the job, I started cleaning the surface by first collecting all the trash and empty boxes left on the ground and then use the mop to clean the walls and floor from stains and spider webs.
Unfortunately, as you can see in the 2nd picture, none of these had a huge impact on my work here due to the walls which still looked damaged or like not being clean, but that's going to be a future step when I'll repaint them. š

Repairing electric outlets
The next step I followed during my journey of renovating a Burned house, was to repair the electric outlets which even though I found out about at the beginning of the game, I don't think I ever shared these or how I work on them.
Of course, there is also the possibility of just selling them and then purchase some new ones that don't have any problems but where it would be the whole fun then?
Since I was a kid I absolutely LOVED repairing things or even simply assembling furniture and other things like that. So it was a very satisfying thing for the inner craftsman in me, haha. š
The main corridor and living room AFTER cleaning
The bedroom AFTER cleaning
The kitchen AFTER cleaning
The bathroom AFTER cleaning
I'll follow the same way of presenting the four rooms shared before after they were cleaned and taken out all the garbage and damaged items from these.
I know this still looks horror and definitely not like a place where you want to move and live for the rest of your life, lol, but I think we can all agree that it's a pretty big transformation if we check again the "before" pictures.
And to be honest, this is by far the HARDEST job I ever had in House Flipper after a few tens of projects taken care of and tens of hours spent in the game already.
It's true that it's not the first time seeing so much garbage in a house, but it's the first time when it needs such a big transformation which even though it's not the most pleasant thing you can do at first, the satisfaction after you complete the job will be a lot bigger than usual. And I really can't wait for that! š

Repainting the walls
Just to forget a little bit about the walls which looked very scary, the first thing I wanted to do in terms of redecorating the house, was to paint the walls with either dark blue or beige which are pretty neutral colours but which I think they will go along just right with the outside of the house and the kitchen and bathroom tiles.
I also wanted to play a little bit with the colours and instead of having just one colour in a room and one in the other, I painted the walls of the main corridor and living room with the dark blue shade but where I used beige on the frame around the windows, and then used beige for the walls of the bedroom but added dark blue around the windows.
š I don't know how well these turned out, but perhaps you can share your opinion on this? I'd be really happy to find out your thoughts or what would you use instead of these! š
Purchasing floor tiles
Next step? Shopping!
This is definitely my favourite part of every job taken in House Flipper. I simply love the diversity of things you can pick from, as well as being able to redecorate virtual houses and rooms as you want.
I know that I never shared a picture with the tablet I use to purchase these items from the in-game store, but that's because I don't always go for the first pick, often changing my mind a few times before considering a project completed.
Perhaps it would be a lot easier to record videos with my walkthrough in this game so you can also see what picks I made before the final ones, but I'm not sure how many of your would be interested to spend a few tens of minutes watching a video instead of just checking the before & after pictures. š¤

Adding floor tiles
I will show again how the floor tiles turned out like in the same two rooms presented above because just as you know, there is a completely different story when it comes to kitchen and bathroom just because we use other materials there.
Personally, I never lived in a place with dark floor tiles like these from the game, but they do look very classy and I think they will work really well with the rest of the things that I'll purchase! š¤

Buying ceiling lamps
Even though I didn't plan to do this as the next step, I had to, because happily or not, House Flipper is one of those games with changing weather which means that you will experience both day & night.
Now you might ask yourself, "ok cool, and what's so important on that?" - well, since there was no light in the house when I moved in, it was really hard to work during the night with a flashlight turned on how I was doing previously in other tasks, so instead of waiting until the sun rises again and I see what I purchase and where I place it, I thought about buying ceiling lamps for all the four rooms.
So there we go! š
The bedroom AFTER renovation
I think it's finally that moment when I can say that the ugly part of the post is over and now we will delight our eyes with the final results of how the house turned out.
The first room I decorated was the bedroom which even though I am one of the people who believe that you shouldn't have a computer, TV, or any technology items/gadgets in the place where you rest, I made an exception here projecting a room that I absolutely love how it turned out.
I never had a console in front of a TV, actually, I don't have a console at all, lol, but I'd really like to have one and be able to play games while chilling in bed or on a sofa, or even watching movies with those powerful speakers that will make you feel like being at the cinema.
The living room AFTER renovation
The next place redecorated is not actually a room because it's the place you get into as soon as you enter the house, so we can consider it both a living room and corridor.
Anyway, after my renovation there, you'll notice that this room will also gain the title of an office because I couldn't stay away from buying a computer either in this project and since there wasn't too much space in the bedroom, I dedicated a small part of this place to it.
Personally, I love the mix between white and dark blue here and I think it's the room that turned out the most beautiful. š
The kitchen AFTER renovation
The kitchen is quite minimal but since it's only half of the size the bedroom and living room have, I wasn't able to add too many things here.
The biggest challenge was to add the table and chairs because I wasn't seeing it working well in any of the positions tried before, but perhaps this is going to be a house sold to a couple or a single person instead of a family because I don't think there can live more than 1-2 persons in here.
During my college years, I had to live in a single room flat with my sister where the kitchen was only half wide of this one so I hate from the bottom of my heart small kitchens where there isn't space for two people or a table. I don't even understand why they are created like that, lol.
The bathroom AFTER renovation
Since one of my clients kept asking for the bathroom to also have spa elements, this one turned out as both a bathroom and sauna which to be honest I'm not too happy with, because everything looks pretty busy. But oh well...
Selling the house
As soon as I finished redecorating and renovating the Burned house, I wanted to sell it and the surprise came when I saw that the person who wants it is Raphael Erko which is the same person who bought the house renovated in my previous post.
Since he was fine back then with negotiating the price, I thought about asking for a little bit more but which turned out as too much for him so instead of being able to make another offer, the game forced me to sell it with the price Raphael was offering which is quite low for all the efforts made renovating the house. I remember getting this profit at the begging of the game when I was only cleaning 2-3 rooms or completing minimal tasks, but I'm not sad with that because I know that the next renovated houses from now on will get a bigger profit! š
š What are your thoughts on how this house turned out after renovating it?
Did you have any hopes it will be saved from how it looked like? š
