Hey, hey! Sup everyone? Everyone had a nice start to the week already? If not, then don't be too optimistic with today's job we will take care of in House Flipper because it will involve lots of cleaning and trash, huh! 🤣
Yep, that's right. Only one week passed since we renovated a building and turned it into a kindergarten and it's still not enough to stay away from spider webs, cockroaches and lots of horror landscapes that you might think are not real.
It's true that we are talking about a game but considering that the game is based on the concept of a TV show that does the exact same thing but in real life, believe me, that sometimes the horror looking of the game is a kid from what I've seen on that show, lol.
Anyway, as no one likes too long intros, I think it's time to read together the email received today which presents what we are going to do in today's job.
As soon as you'll see the title of it, perhaps you will understand already what the job involves without reading all the sentences written by Mr Robert Moon, but there is a pretty interesting story shared of how the price of the house was affected and that he managed to buy it on a very low price. The main reason is that there lived a man who was wanted by the police and no one really wants to move into a place where a criminal or a bad person lived for a while, especially that when you open up the front door you are welcomed by lots of trash and an unidentified substance that covers the floor.
However, as this game is full of challenges and different situations, I couldn't skip this one and actually started it pretty excited looking forward to giving to the house a completely new and fresh looking.
BEFORE renovation
As soon as I opened the front door of the house, the sayings of Mr Robert were confirmed, and actually, the whole horror looking turned out more scary with the light that was not working.
This though could also be considered a good thing watching on how a room can look like after it was inhabited by a man wanted by the police. This was also one of the electricity problems that should be solved and which Mr Robert mentioned.
DURING renovation
As you perhaps have already noticed in the right part of the screen, there are not too many tasks in this room other than cleaning the surface and getting rid of the trash and cockroach nests which appear more and more often during the cleaning tasks. Yay! 😩
AFTER renovation
Though, along with the cleaning that was a must here, I took some time to purchase a few more things to make the ambience in the room more welcoming, such as the flowers from the table and the window sill, the burning candles and other kitchen accessories that should exist in any place you can eat, such as the plates, cutlery, glasses, condiments containers, coffee, tea and even a few drinks other than the usual water.
I'm not too sure on the pink walls that they are too representative for Mr Robert so I used some more bucks to add a TV and some posters to make the attention be distributed accordingly. Hope that helps. 😁
BEFORE renovation
As you perhaps already have noticed, the main attraction in this house is the open space between the kitchen and living room that was renovated first, so every single door you see in those pictures is going to lead to other small rooms that don't involve too many renovations and cleanings to be done.
However, the first door opened led me to the bedroom which didn't have too many elements but actually more empty boxes and trash that I had to get rid of.
AFTER renovation
Along with the usual things requested in every room, over here we had to also repair two electrical outlets, so as soon as I cleaned the surface I started repairing these and then arranged the bed linen.
Just like in the previous situation, I felt the need of purchasing a few things to make the room more welcoming. I mean, I do love the minimalistic look in bedrooms and not to have a TV so you can keep this part of the house only for resting, but it would be too boring to have just a bed, wardrobe and bedside table, so I ended up purchasing two more flowers, a poster, a neon sign that works like a gem anywhere it's placed, but also a small rounded carpet in front of the bed that I kept in the shades of the neon sign and poster.
It's basically the style of a bedroom I'd love to have too, without being surrounded by too many things and feel your small free space become slowly even smaller.
BEFORE renovation
As there is no house without a bathroom (or at least I hope so), the next door opened got me there.
We are talking about a 4 squared meters room, so the available space wouldn't be too helpful in giving this a completely new look, but I still spent some time here to clean the floor, walls, and mount the shower which for some reason was not part of the wall already, lol. 😅
AFTER renovation
As soon as I finished doing the tasks mentioned before, I decided to spend a minimum of bucks over here too to add a towel, a mirror and a toilet paper roll which shouldn't be ever missing, lol.
I actually exchanged the shower with a new one that I considered going along better with the rest of the elements compared with the previous one. 💪
BEFORE renovation
If I was surprised by the 4 squared meters bathroom, the next door opened got me into a 2nd bedroom which was only 8 squared meters wide. But looking at the bed which was already there, I thought that perhaps this is going to be the place used by a future kid, so no need for too much space or objects in the room.
Though, there was still needed some massive cleaning as there were lots of empty boxes and trash on the ground and you could barely see outside through the dirty window.
AFTER renovation
As everything would still look quite scary with a room that only comes with a bed and wardrobe, I thought about rearranging everything so more things would fit and turn this into a more enjoyable space to spend time in.
Along with the TV and flowers that are never missing, I also purchased a clock for the wall and 3 burning candles for more ambience and relaxing moments. 😌
The way down to the basement
Along with all the rooms that we already got into, there was another mysterious door that once I opened it, this led me to the basement of Mr Robert's new house.
Considering that the house is a quite tiny one, it's a cool thing to see that it also comes with a basement because that can easily be turned into that kind of storage room or place where to watch movies and play games with your friends.
BEFORE renovation
As much as I would like to turn this place into a more fun and entertaining room, it looks like the man who lived here along with the new owner had a completely different plan looking on all the storage shelves which I wasn't allowed to sell, nor the washing machines that it was understandable they should remain considering that the bathroom didn't have space for these.
AFTER renovation
Though, as soon as I got rid of the trash, empty boxes, cockroach nests and all the scary-looking of the room, I rearranged the shelves all together on a single wall for more free space, and then purchased another poster to make the view less sober, as well as the gaming machine which can never tangle someone, right? 😅
Job done!
A pretty scary looking one with a mysterious story behind it, but which added once again another brick to the diversity House Flipper offers for its players.
Even if the payment from this project is perhaps the lowest from the last 10 jobs handled so far, considering that this was mainly based on cleaning the surface and repairing some electrical outlets I think we can all agree that it was easy money earned in a pretty fast way. Cheers to that! 🍻
What about you though? Have you played House Flipper before? Also, what are your thoughts on how this place looked when it was inhabited by the wanted man as well as how it turned out after I've set free my creative skills once again?
Can't wait to hear from you! Take care! 😇
