Hello everyone! I hope the sun is shining bright on your end. If not, today's renovated house is definitely going to make you think of the sunny days spent on a vacation. š
I know this introduction sounds a lot different than how I usually start my House Flipper posts, but that's because, I promise you that you are not ready for what you are going to see here today!
Enough with the cockroaches, spider webs and horror houses! It's time to purchase one of those houses you usually spend a bunch of money to reach even for just a few days while being on a vacation, so are you ready for some solitude, palm trees, islands, waves, and clear blue sky? š
The house purchased
While so far I was only spending like half of this amount to purchase a house, this time the temptation was way too big not to click on the purchase button, which anyway it came with a two times bigger house and definitely an enviable landscape that I haven't experienced so far in House Flipper but which I would like to see again more often.
The house purchased comes with a surface of 90 squared meters which is almost 3x than what the other houses were coming with, all of them varying between 32 and 36 squared meters, so even though from the outside it doesn't look like too much space to play with, I can't wait to discover more, aren't you? š
The surroundings of the house
I'll leave here two more pictures with the landscape just because I simply fell in love with it.
It's true that I'm not a fan of the pink houses, nor the pink colour in general, but that's where the magic can happen since I can renovate everything as I think it would work the best.
Anyway, now you might ask yourself how a house like this ended up in my hands since perhaps anyone would love to have a house alike where to go at least during the holidays.
Well, it seems like the house was owned by a man who is a martial arts master and who was needed to make a decision whether to take his job to the next level and start his own dojo, or to keep living on the island far away from people. Guess what pick he made! š
Cleaning the house on the outside
Most likely that would turn out as a pretty easy question for most of us thinking about the times we are living which are keeping busy all the TV channels of news, but talking about a game things are a lot easier and innocent.
Anyway, I decided to begin my work here by cleaning the very few stains on the outside walls of the house which were barely visible if we compare them with those seen in my previous tasks in House Flipper, but somehow I still wanted to have everything looking perfect.
When I watched the house again, the first thought coming to my mind was that I wish the game had some sort of setting to rent houses and have this one for honeymoons because I'm sure I would earn a lot more money than the profit I'll get at the end. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the time I'm writing this article but who knows? Maybe a future update will come with this thing too. š
BEFORE renovation
While there was not too much work to be done outside, I decided to push the door and see what it looks like on the inside.
Happily, I wasn't welcomed with plenty of trash, empty boxes, weird stains, or insects like it happens usually, but only with some spots here and there and the plants that were dead but which is a pretty common landscape we all get even in real life if we return to a place after a few months, so I think this is amongst the most innocent renovations I had to take care of.
BEFORE renovation
In the top left corner of the house, there is also some sort of secret hatch that will take you to the basement, but more about that when the time comes.
Honestly, having already a lot of ideas in my head about the changes I was going to make to this house, I'm a little disappointed that the game is not coming with stairs you can purchase for the inside of the house because I definitely can't see someone going up and down on that ladder countless times a day, so I wish I could make the experience a lot more pleasant.
DURING the renovation
Anyway, before we get to the basement, it's time to take care of the rooms on the main floor where I started my activity by cleaning the ground and windows and then getting rid of the plants which gave me a strange feeling.
If I was able to revive them somehow by adding water in their soil instead of throwing them to the trash can and then purchase some new ones, I'd definitely do that, but this is just another aspect I feel House Flipper is missing.
AFTER renovation
Even though I really liked most of the furniture already existing in the house, since I was seeing this more of a place where someone will go while being on a vacation with his/her other half, I decided to partially sell some of these and focus on getting most of the things in either red, pink or white.
While the first floor is around 38 squared meters wide, of course I could add a wall to split the part that is dedicated to the kitchen from this used for the living room, but honestly, I like this kind of open space and that's why I decided to keep it the same style I found it. š
AFTER renovation
I know it's not Valentine's Day and that this might turn out a little bit too treacly for some of you, but hey! I'm a girl gamer overall and I do like paying attention to details, even if that means adding lots of ambient light, sweets, candles, wine and love letters. š
AFTER renovation
The other half of the room is entirely dedicated to movie nights, listening to music, or the happy corner where to spend time with your friends. I'd love to have one of these places at my own house too. š
I still kept the same design of having red, pink and white mostly everywhere, but I like the way the sofa make it possible to both stay in front of the TV and play some games or to simply watch the dance of the fire inside of the chimney.
I don't know about you, but I find it very relaxing to watch the fire and have its light creating shapes, forms and expressions on my face...
š Do you feel the same? š
BEFORE renovation
Anyway, time to move on to the next room... the bathroom!
Now you might think ok cool, this is already clean and white, isn't it already renovated?
The answer is no. Not in my head. š
AFTER renovation
Of course, I could leave everything as it was, but since the shop offered me some options in terms of things I could add to the bathroom to make it more reddish, why not?
Honestly, even though I was always seeing these curtains on the store, I never really made it a passion in purchasing them, but now they came right in time to leave my touch in the bathroom as well, lol.
AFTER renovation
The next room renovated is a bit bigger than the bathroom which used to be a storing place before but which I thought about turning into a sauna.
Just imagine taking a bath in the ocean and then having some relaxing moments at the spa before watching some movies or staying in front of the fireplace with your loved one. Isn't it nice? š
BEFORE renovation
I know that perhaps some of the last few renovations didn't stir too much interest and I can feel you because I kept thinking on what I should do with the basement, so it's time to get down there and set creativity free! š
There was some sort of wall that divided the room in two keeping the half from behind as a simple room with a few beds and that's it but which I wasn't too happy with, to be honest.
Anyway, while cleaning the surface and selling those items, I got a crazy idea of destroying the wall to enjoy the full space available that I could turn into that kind of bedroom some hotels have with a bathtub inside of it and lots of relaxing vibes. š¤
AFTER renovation
... and... ta-daaaaa!
š Is it too much? Yes? No? Uhm, maybe I exaggerated a bit, or maybe more... but isn't it nice? š
I think I went a little bit YOLO this time with all the red and pink and love plus neon signs... and shapes like the bed, rug and pillow as a heart, lol. Not to mention about the tens of candles perhaps you noticed from the first moment, haha.
That's because, as I said, I took this job as a house that could be rented for honeymoons or a place where couples will spend money to visit once in a while, and I think everyone would love to see this and have this kind of freedom sometimes. š
I know that there is already a fireplace on the first floor but since we are talking about a basement with no source of heat, I didn't want to change the wall design with lots of radiators so I think the fireplace works just right. Perhaps I should only keep this one, but hey, better more than too few!
Selling the house
And just like a surprise is not coming alone, as soon as I listed the house on sale, I was notified about Jantart Family who wanted to purchase it offering the biggest price. Too bad I haven't thought about this project as being suitable for old people too, but love is love and I'm happy they liked it and helped me earn a bigger profit than before.
They were also very kind to negotiate the price and offer ā¬1,470 more without saying too much about that. Happy customers, happy me! š
š Anyway, since this is a very different post than these I create along with my journey spent in House Flipper, I'm curious to find out your thoughts of this house - do you like it or find it too much?
I know that I already expressed myself regarding my picks and how I renovated everything but the results do bring a smile on my face whenever I watch what I've done there, which I hope will have the same impact on more people. š
