Analysis --> 10th full season in Splinterlands

The end of the 2nd season of the new rewards system has come. I am still enjoying the way it works and I think it is actually pretty well-balanced overall. Here's what I got from my 72 Silver I chests:

13 Legendary Potions;
5 Alchemy Potions;
518 DEC;
a total of 29 cards - more notable of them - 2 Common GFs

The rewards this time are a bit worse than last season but that's how probabilities work - you win some, you lose some. 😁

I am totally satisfied with my overall rewards for June though. As you can see the total estimated value is $29.85 - for a total of 430 Silver chests. I think that's a fairly decent return.

I played almost 100 battles less than last season (as visible on the screenshots below) but I still got the same amount of chests - 72. This is mainly due to the fact that as you can see my win rate has improved by 0.1 which is actually about 40 more wins than last season - 40 wins are a significant number when it comes to the amount of chests one gets at the end of the season. I also finished this season at an overall higher rating than last. That does not really matter to much as I am not playing for the leaderboard for the time being.

I did sign up for as many tourneys as possible this season but they do seem a bit less than the amount I had signed up for last season. It seems that there were just fewere tourneys the last two weeks.

So it seems the drop off was mainly in terms of DEC tourneys as the SPS I have earned is almost the same amount as what I earned last season.

I have received a bit more cards this season as well as a lot more DEC, however, I got "only" one pack this time around, while last season I got two.

You can see the noticeable difference in the DEC amount earned from direct play though. I have received 50% less DEC basically. This is probably due to the fact that I seldomly played at ECR more than 50-55%.

Last but not least as far as this account is concerned - the SPS Report. I have bought a significant amount of DEC to convert into pack after the airdrop is done. So this has influenced the DEC I get per day a lot compared to last season.

I currently get about 40 SPS per day from airdrops and 4 SPS from staking - so a total of ~ 44.00 SPS, which is 3 times more than last season. 😎

Let's see how the new system treats the poor ol' Bronze players or in this case my poor Bronze alt account.😁 Here's the breakdown of the screenshot containing 74 Bronze Chests:

a total of 33 cards - no legs or GFs (which is expected); (11 cards more than last season)

So again the rewards are in line with the % distribution provided by the team.

I am actually very pleased with what I have gotten for the month. It is 100X better than what I used to get prior to the introduction of the new system. You can actually start building an account from scratch and get somewhere with it now.

The situation here is the same as the one on my main account. I have improved my win rate as well as my average and EOS rating. I am very pleased with that. Hopefully things will keep going in this direction.

From the screenshots below you can see that I have received what can only be described as a metric ton of cards. 19 more than last season for a total of 102. I did not realize that I had received that many cards and that's great.

457 Wins, 69 DEC earned - half of what I earned last season. It is the same as my main. I just play at lower ECR and maybe the DEC pool is a bit more depleted by more people playing. That's not an issue though at least as far as I'm concerned.
