Here's my selection of music to share with you today. As usual, we have a variety of styles, all things that I enjoy listening to from time to time.
First, we go to beautiful Ireland with this traditional tune.
Patty Gurdy - Over the Hills and Far Away (2018)
I think she is my first exposure to the hurdy-gurdy, and a good introduction with a traditional Irish folk piece that just suits this instrument (and her voice) perfectly.
Although Patty does do other more modern pieces with her hurdy-gurdy, I really prefer the traditional music with this instrument.
Then a stop in France with this beautiful love song.
Yann Perreau - T'embellis ma vie (2017)
This is another one of those amazing songs that is about true love - throughout your life, ups and downs... "You embellish my life" - in every way... whether it's just being silly, or stitching up one another's wounds... This is lovely and sweet - very much worth a listen.
Finally, back to the USA...
One of my best friends in school once said that she would marry a guy who could play this for her... (She married someone else, in the end... but we're still friends.) She loves the Piano Guys too - as anyone who has ever become semi-proficient (or better) at piano should... If you have never heard them before, you're in for a treat!

One of the things I absolutely love about this dynamic duo is that they are so amazingly talented, yet never seem to forget that they do this for the audience. Here, they visit a nursing home to share their music.
