This weekend in the UK was the Coronation of King Charles III and to celebrate this Royal Occasion, Krispy Kreme brought out their own Coronation Donuts. This is the first out of three.

Oh my!!! What a beautiful donut in the royal colour purple with that regal gold crown sitting proudly on top. This donut was the fluffiest thing I had bitten into in a while and it was oozing with goodness. The filling had the most delicious strawberry fruitiness and the smoothest custard filling. One of the most enjoyable donuts I've had in a very long time.

I held out til the Coronation weekend to buy the limited edition Coronation dozen donuts and shared this with my family as it was my husband's birthday. They went down a treat. I have so say I wish there was another one for me to have, but they were all gone. I'm just so pleased I had this one. I hope the flavour combo makes a comeback and sometime very soon. Delicious!!!
