Here's my selection of music to share with you today. As usual, we have a variety of styles, all things that I enjoy listening to from time to time.
Today we start with some country music.
Vince Gill - One More Last Chance (1993)
A lot of songs (especially country songs) about relationship troubles are sad and depressing, but this one is fun and energetic featuring some of the reasons why a woman might give up on her guy...
Rightly, it did hit no. 1 on the country charts in both the US and Canada. I think it's a fun song that belongs on a list of West Coast swing numbers.
Next, we look at an iconic song from the 80s.
Van Halen - Jump (1983)
This song hit no. 1 in US and Canada and became a gold record in the US, UK and Italy. This energetic song is fundamentally a love song, but for me, it's makes me think of all the good things about the 80s.
Finally, my non-English feature for the day...
Vitaa & Slimane - Ça Va Ça Vient (French - 2019)
I love this love song about how their love can help them through all the bad things in their lives.
So far, I love everything this pair have done together. Beautiful music and thoughtful, well-filmed videos make a match made in music heaven. Give it a listen.
